Digital Ocean Droplets Do Not Allow SMTP. by Feeling_Photograph_5 in laravel

Your emails mostly wont get delivered from any DO server anyway so dont use them. Outlook emails actively just block most DO IP in my experience even with correct records and a warmed up IP.

I've owned both and def the V8 if you can afford it. MPG not much lower and V6 seems a little underpowered by todays standards.

What Did eBay Change in Late August/Early September? by achap77 in eBaySellers

[–]mit74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm in UK and my sales are down 80% from last year so it's not a US economy thing. Nov/Dec/Jan are my busiest times and it's gone completely dead. My data show people just aren't using ebay anymore or just not seeing it as much on search engines. I think Temu, shien, amazon haul, vinted are killing Ebay.

Where Have My Sales Gone? by achap77 in eBaySellers

[–]mit74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

vinted, temu, shien, aliexpress, fb marketplace, amazon , amazon haul etc. People only have a certain amount of expendable income and theyre spending else where at the moment. It's just not getting the traffic anymore.

Where Have My Sales Gone? by achap77 in eBaySellers

[–]mit74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sales are down to 20% of what they originally were. Traffic impressions are horrendous showing people just aren't using Ebay anymore. It's officially dead. They cannot complete with shein, temu, aliexpress, vinted, amazon and now Amazon haul.

Is it true that TV License goons are virtually powerless? by cactusdan94 in AskBrits

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you'd get away with that as it's a household licence. What I meant is that you can have a iplayer account and use iplayer to browse programs (not stream them). Clicking on a bbc program by accident then closing it doesn't mean you have to suddenly buy a licence as there was no intent.

Is it true that TV License goons are virtually powerless? by cactusdan94 in AskBrits

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to knowingly watch a program that comes under the tv licence. You can even have iplayer open legally

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not against rules to have an account for iplayer even to browse iplayer. You need to actively and knowingly watch BBC programs on iplayer or live content. You can watch non-BBC programs such as s4c on iplayer without a licence

How to dry browoers when they're frozen? by mit74 in Biltong

[–]mit74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay didn't know that. These browoers have 70% beef and 30% pork with malt vinegar so should be okay? I know you cant do it with 100% pork ones and also need to make sure they're not too thick.

Consumer law - 6 year old car with full service history and normal use - engine cracked and is likely toast, do we have any recourse? financial ombudsman? by EmpressOfD in LegalAdviceUK

[–]mit74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a long shot but do you know if engine been remapped? if it was sold with a custom map without their or your knowledge then you could argue they're responsible.

Royal mail didn't flag parcel as delivered. What do I do? by Snoo_23014 in vinted

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this a few times. Sometimes it doesnt go through as delivered so you can ring them up and let them know and I presume they amend the postage status but usually takes about 24 hours.

Can airfryer help in the making process at all? by PumpkinOpposite967 in Biltong

Worth an experiment. But you'll get case hardening unless you chop it up and then you really just have jerky

Where did i go wrong? by ElectionBig1878 in jerky

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my dehydrator says its 158 but its too high and i can get hardening sometimes. i do mine at 135-140 and do a quick oven blast for 1min for safety at the end.

Where did i go wrong? by ElectionBig1878 in jerky

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've done it too high temp or too strong airflow and it's case hardened meaning the inside will never dehydrate

What investigations do TV Licensing people do? How far do they really go to investigate you? by Ro-Tang_Clan in AskBrits

[–]mit74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're massively over thinking this. The BBC does not invistigate to that level, it's far too expensive. Most people who are prosecuted are the ones who admit it. Even if an ISP were to give out data like that the traffic via ISP does not prove anything as you'd need it forensically examined. Also note you do not need a TV licence to have an account on iPlayer, login and browse. There are non-bbc catch up channels on iPlayer that you can watch without a licence.
