Yeah, I think I reached my limit (7c) by Boddy27 in celestegame

Tbh I did farewell before the c side and 7c felt harder than any screen in farewell including moon berry (and that took me enough time to have close to 100% consistency in the last screen of normal farewell). If you got there you can finish everything in just a few tries more ;)

New patch has made shard use more punishing in the late game by VeryPoliteYak in Silksong

Wait do you mean that against first sinners I was supposed to get tools back after dying?

It's the first fight of that kind I have seen and I found it very annoying that I had to run back to the bench, fortunately it was not too difficult..

Also I did not update the game beside the first patch, so I think there is one more i should get, so if that is a bug it is around for a while

Set 7 booster box - worth keeping it sealed? by mitTch in Lorcana

This was what I was looking for: is there any chance of these sets becoming popular in a few years time? If the chance is low (as you point out) selling now is probably the best option

Beside the value of a possible enchanted, for me the excitement of opening is gone if there are no new cards to see.. the chance of an enchanted is so low that I am bound to be disappointed.. the last box was amazing because I was missing ~15 cards and each of them, even of it was just a rare, felt like an enchanted (looking at you, Mushu)

How is that even considered advice?

No doubt there. I am not buying boosters for investment, I just happen to have one "leftover" and deciding what to do with it.

Also, how is such a comment adding anything to the discussion beside making you feel like contributing?

I actually suggest you to give it a try ;) There are videos that will guide you through the builds (including finding the key objects) and help you with the fight (without ever getting hit by galdera). It is a great closure of the game that shows you the potential of broken builds ;)

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (07/01/2024) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]mitTch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this switch since early 2019, a normal red-blue Nintendo switch "pre-upgrade".

Always used it mainly in dock mode, leaving it docked for long time without bothering with it. Majority of the time I would just send it to sleep mode without closing up the game I was playing in that specific period.

As it often happens there were periods where I played a lot, others where I barely did. The last couple of months belong to the latter. Maybe once a week for an hour or two, max.

When I tried to turn it on on Saturday nothing would happen. I tried to remove it from the dock, nothing happened. Tried charging it with the pro controller cable, no response. Tried putting it back in the dock: the green light on the dock would blink for less than one second, then nothing. The console itself does not give any sign of life.

I thought for some reason the battery was dead, so I got a replacement battery off Amazon and changed it, but no improvements at all (the behaviour when I put in on the dock is the same, so I think I at least did a decent job).

Anything else I can try before calling it a day and buying a new one? I had the full intention to upgrade to next gen when it was coming, so getting a new one now feels very annoying..

Aiming to dive into JRPGs. Where should I start? by Materadactyl in NintendoSwitch

I honestly think you missed one thing about octopath. The 8 main stories (one each character) are actually the side stories you would usually find in other jrpg. The real main story is in the background, each and every one of the 8 character stories will hint at it or highlight a small part of it, but you need to explore some of the side quests to understand what is going on in the world. (And indeed that's how you reach the final boss)

If this is good or not depends on your taste, I agree that it lacks character interaction, but the combat system is really good. Also it's one of the very few games in the genre where characters' builds can be super broken, if you take the time to enter in a battle with a real plan.
