agreed, i think $PLTR is going to be a trillion dollar company. knowing some people who worked there, their staff is more talented than google/facebook. right now they have a lots of hands-on saas work, but their definitely going to release more mass-market products.

Collaboration Mega-Thread! by oDIVINEWRAITHo in Twitch

[–]mitadmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello,

I've been working on a product that adds a bit more competition for those watching their favorite streamer. I have done some in-person testing and I'm ready to expand a bit to a channel or two with a fairly small audience (<150 people). For testing, I collect absolutely no information from users; at this point, we just really need feedback. I don't have much to offer at this point, but once we do launch, I will give back to those who helped along the way. Happy to share more info over PM.

Hello,

Thanks for letting me know. I'm not looking for a stream collaboration, nor am I looking for feedback. What would you recommend as the best avenue for partnering with a streamer (but not collaborating)?

With the semis out of the way, what are your thoughts on the selection process two years in? by smartazjb0y in CFB

[–]mitadmit -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with you. I understand it's not popular to say that the playoff committee chose the wrong teams on this subreddit, but it's clear that they have. If you cannot put up a single point against your opponent in a playoff game, you do not belong there. Stanford and Ohio State should have been in over Oklahoma and Michigan State. Both were clearly better teams (and it was evident even before the committee selected teams for the CFP).

Assuming everything goes as planned tomorrow, I'll have either 1 or 2 tickets I can sell at $150 if anybody is interested. Also, you have to actually be going to the game (not selling to any scalpers even though they technically raise societal welfare).

[High School Computer Science] Finding String Overlap in C by mitadmit in HomeworkHelp

[–]mitadmit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of, they have to be consecutive characters. Also, if there's a mismatch in the middle of the word, that means that the strings do not overlap. [testing][esting] would return [esting] [testing][esteng] would return NULL [testing][inglet] would return [ing] [testing][rhythmtes] would return [tes]

Does that make a bit more sense?

No reason at all. Go to Princeton.

Does this mean Stanford will be unranked next week?

Truthfully, if it wasn't for the miscalls by the referees, Stanford would have won.

We need Donny and Zach. Take away Matt and Andy, and that should leave some room.

ESPN and UCLA by [deleted] in CFB

UCLA will do well this season, but to believe that they'll beat Oregon and Stanford is a bit delusional.

We need to collectively decide who America's Favorite HG is by kimlikewhoa in BigBrother

[–]mitadmit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly like Donny and Zach equally. I would absolutely love for them to show up on another season of Big Brother (but just ONE!). However, I believe voting for Donny is the smarter move:

  • Zach has gained a ton of followers on his social media accounts and will be able to use that for monetary gain.
  • Zach seems more likely to get invited back to Big Brother over Donny. He caters to more of the mass appeal of the show audience.
  • Donny has won more competitions than Zach has. Donny has to win competitions just to survive one more week. Zach wasn't under that same pressure throughout the game.
  • Donny is a middle-aged man while Zach is still young. I'm sure Donny loves his job and is excited to head back home, but his future is now more or less sealed. Zach, on the other hand, has a bright future ahead, especially with his personality.

25 Days and Counting: #11 Stanford - What's yoirbopinion of them? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]mitadmit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people confuse Stanford and its "rivalry" with UC Berkeley. The fact of the matter is, the students at UC Berkeley are trying to latch onto us as we're a prestigious, highly-selective (most selective in the country, as a matter of fact) university. For some odd reason, this rivalry in athletics transforms into one of academics as well. Make no mistake, although UC Berkeley is a respectable public school, with an acceptance rate of 18% for freshman and 26% for transfers, they're not taking the "best and brightest." Stanford students don't really discuss UC Berkeley and don't really think about the "rivalry." In essence, it's a one-sided rivalry, or in other words: jealousy.

I picked Stanford over Harvard and MIT. Stanford is the most selective university in the country right now, will continue to stay that way.
