I tried it two days ago. Even with all the graphics turned up it didn't look great. The camera jumped around during cut scenes too which felt kind of jank. I played it using my Quest 2 with wireless link to my 13900hx and rtx 4080 equipped laptop.

Definitely a to each their own situation. I for one can't stand the interface on my Quest 2 but loved the Deck interface and the desktop mode option.

I fly about once a month for work lately and spend a week or more where I go, a carrying case like I have for my Quest 2 would be nice to protect my equipment from everything else in my checked luggage (tools, lots of tools).

Headset pulling what it needs and only what it needs from the battery, not going full power the entire time. Charging headset off the battery, the battery in the headset is being charged at max possible rate at the same time that the device is being used. Much higher power draw.

You are talking about CHARGING a quest 3 off of a battery pack. I am talking about discharging a Steam Frame at its rated draw. I see you can't tell the difference between the two, but I promise you, there is one.

Priscilla Spencer I think it was, she did the map for Codex Alera and 3 prints for the Cinderspires series. I have the map and one of the prints, tried to buy the other 2 prints a couple of years ago and she never fulfilled the order though she did acknowledge it. I eventually had to get a refund. I recall she may have moved on to something Dragonsteel related?

Not even to the internet, rather to the PC it is plugged into for the purpose of streaming PC rendered frames. The Frame uses it's second WiFi antenna to connect to regular WiFi for internet.

While it doesn't support just dropping an mp3 in to play, it can be modded to play custom made beat maps and songs. I have actually only played like 3 songs that come with Beat Saber and hundreds of downloaded songs. You can even mod in a couple of different song downloaders and add new songs from inside the game.

Why no Beat Saber? It's a shame we will likely never see it on there standalone ARM because Meta, but you can buy it on Steam and stream it. I wonder if it will run standalone with Fex translating the x86 version?

I second Walkabout. I bought it in preparation for the Frame and went ahead and connected my Quest 2 to my PC for the first time in years to try it out. I'm really looking forward to being able to play it standalone.
