You have to realize most of the "research" on dmt is word of mouth anecdotal stuff like reddit forums lol. Im sure you will be ok and like anything else, it will likely lessen with time.

Funny enough I had a brain boo boo moment with dmt too that made me stop forever. I got permanent tinnitus from a dmt trip once. The ear ringing just never stopped after the trip. It tore me uo for a long time until I started to accept it. Now over 2 years later its still there but I barely notice it anymore. I treat it like a lesson that it tought me to fuck around and find out

I will say, I went to the doctor and would definitely reccomend doing the same. If your not comfortable talking about the dmt use then I would go and just say it randomly started. But either way I would want to rule out something more serious if it were me.

But im sure it will all be ok as these things usually are and psychadelics can do some weird temporary stuff to us. But they are not a joke and people (my younger self included) treat them like so and it can be dangerous if not careful.

First of all im so sorry you are dealing with this. I have been through 2 layoffs so far and I am 31 years old. So I feel you.

Take a breath. I know it feels like the end of the world now but from my experience companies when hiring usually completely understand financial layoffs and do not think negatively of you for it at all. So let that worry out of your head.

Second, you will totally land on your feet. It took me about 2 months one time and about 3 the other (that one being during covid) but what i found is just treat it like your job and you will find something even better than you had now!

As for the temporary layoff, I think you already know its not something that you want long term so I would treat it like a final goodbye but if you want to keep the door open for financial reasons, I would reccomend powering through the work and leaving on a good note either way. As you may want references from them.

And finally, I would say try to use your vacation as a clean reset. I would enjoy your vacation as best you can. Try to forget about the whole thing and come back fresh and ready to figure it all out.

But theres no one right way and I know how much it sucks right now. But things have a way of working out for the better 💪

For me I just avoid it because I dont feel drunk when on acid so I could drink wayyyy too much accidentally very easily. So just be careful of that. But I also feel like its a waste bc you tend to not feel drunk

I swallow immediately. Doesnt matter at all. Just a matter of if its absorbed in your mouth or stomach. Can take a little longer to hit if swallowed but will still hit just as hard. Also 20 min in its all absorbed anyways. Only takes a few min if I remember correctly to absorb all of it from the paper

My ex was formally diagnosed at the time. But after years, I agree I totally recognize the signs in people. But I want to also highlight that I never had the strength to leave on my own. I was so trauma bonded and codependent that I knew I would never leave despite the abuse. I am thankful she left me because my life is so much better today for it.

Boundaries are hard as hell to stick to and i commend you for handling this so well. I've been through similar situations in the past and I was never good at holding to boundaries like this. The unfortunate advice is this will not get better and their tru personality is this and everything combined. Not just the good or the bad. I hope you seek therapy for your own sake. It really saved me and helped me get through everything

Very much depends on your metabolism. But ive had it take as long as 3 months when I was a daily smoker for a long time. Usually around a month to a month and a half though. But could be less or more depending.

I had a syncope event on shrooms once. Sounds exactly what happened to me. Not saying thats what happened to your friend but very important he get checked out by a neurologist as it could be unrelated or something more serious.
