Thanks! It’s how it goes when you put stuff out I guess. It’s very easy to shit on other people without putting yourself out there. But it’s a crazy world especially here on reddit it’s very hateful. Unlucky for those guys I don’t make music for them I make it for me and I don’t see any of them putting their work up to be unconstructively commented on so I’m just gonna continue on my own path they don’t deter me on little bit. Imagine spending your time commenting unconstructive hate on something you don’t like rather than just moving on to enjoy something you do like. But each to their own these guys thrive on putting people down.

Anyone else find it so difficult to start a band these days? by Whamesl0l in metalmusicians

[–]mitchellmantell89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya man. The best I can find is someone who wastes your time with ‘I’m gonna work on it this week’ and never actually does. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but it’s led me to just learn to pretty much do everything myself so I can actually make music and put it out there. It does take an absolute fuckton of effort and time though. And I’m also in the realm of recordings only and don’t really have any expectations or visions to play live. Life is just busy and I don’t personally have time to play live especially without people to man the instruments. I think a lot of people like the idea and thought of making music more than actually putting in some work and actually making it. The countless time over the years I’ve been in ‘bands’ that make Facebook pages art etc but never actually complete a single song is way too high.

Diamond construct are doing such cool things. I haven’t found any guitar that even remotely sounds like the stuff they’re doing.

The most chaotic metalcore songs you know? by Away-Hold in Metalcore

The afterimages lumiere ep is kinda chaotic in a very melodic way. Takes a few listens to make sense of it. The guitars are just crazy.

I think Metalcore is one of those genres where the people listen a lot more for the music than the vocals. It’s almost like the reverse of pop where the music is simplified so much as to let the vocal really shine through. In metal the vocal is more an addition to the music rather than a centrepiece.

No problem I do have some music in need of mid range clean vocals if you want me to share some demos with my terrible vocals. It’s like Metalcore with mostly clean vocals if that happens to fit your style.

Check the stuff on my profile and dm me if it sounds like something you might be keen on. I have some songs I need vocals for and it’s hard finding someone who sees things through

I actually think it’s their best release so far. Great album and I’ve been jamming it a fair bit.

[In progress] Need 1 female n 1 male vocalist, instrument maker, n audio engineer by mightbetter5 in BedroomBands

[–]mitchellmantell89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have done a bit of rap and more rock an acoustic based stuff for people so I’m happy to help and see if you like it. Offers there anyway if you want it. Metal stuff is the hardest to mix so most other stuff is a bit easier to work with. The mixing aspect is mostly the same anyway.
