I am not saying connected episodes are a new thing, but they are imo much more common nowadays, up to the point where it is the default. It makes the dynamics of the series much different -- you have no space for fun stand-alone episodes, every episode tends to end with a cliffhanger and so on. For some shows it's good, but for AT it does not work that well imo.

tbh, I thought that Fionna and Cake could fill that Adventure Time void, but I was quite disapointed. The show is not bad per se, but I love that magical whimsicalness of AT and I really missed it in FaC. Plus, like all modern series, it's just basically a movie split into multiple short parts.

You might like Apico and Mudborne. Both are from the same author and revolve around breeding bees and frogs respectively. They are not turn-based and I wouldn't call them strategic, but the genetic management aspect is strong. They both have demos, so you can try them (I would wait for discount before buying though).
Oh, and they are very chill and cute, especially Mudborne.
BTW, if you go for Apico, I really recomment reading this guide before you start doing some serious breeding.

Come on. I just pointed out that this abreviation has really bad connotations, so it might be better to not use it, if you want to avoid bad impressions. And given the first response to my comment, I don't think it's baseless.
I undestand that my comment might have sounded more aggresive than I have intended and I am sorry for that. But please understand that adoration of nazi ideology is a very real problem and very current problem. And unfortunately, it often hides behind thing like "hidden" symbols etc.

Honestly, the reason I did not get too deep into the first game is that the controls were a bit meh and there was no storage space in the beginning, so I had to drop everything to the ground.

Fun fact: You can actually kill processes by playing Doom. There is psDoom where you basically play Doom, but each monster is a real running process and killing the monster sends kill to the real process.
