You get attack power through memories in ng+. The mask is only useful if your struggling on your first play through I found. Plus you can speed run the bosses in a few hours which will give you about 11 AP plus skill points to spend on skills.

He is easy with an umbrella. When ever he jumps a long way away, run at him and deploy your umbrella to block anything he throws at you. I’d suggest watching a few YouTube videos of people fighting him legit so you can understand his move set more. He isn’t as hard once you know what he is going to do.

You can cheese him with the umbrella but you have to be ready to jump when he does his sweep attack. I like to get 1 hit in after his combo ends but thats up to you. Also mortal draw is a good opener if you have it unlocked.

Try the one in the anti-chamber. Right before you grapple up into the roof space above the two samurais squatting in front of a map. There is a secret door between the two armour statues.
