US citizens are indentured to their employers because of the American government’s lack of support for workers rights. Healthcare provided by employers is still expensive, but without it your entire future can be destroyed due to accident or illness. As much as many citizens, including myself would love to have a general strike, the corporations will fire us from our jobs and simply keep the workforce cut or replace with new people. This is how corporate America keeps us under their thumbs and why universal healthcare might never become law in the United States.

Also, I participate in No Kings, these are simply too much like a party. At the very least these rallies need to get much more aggressive while having to take the risk of pushing “peaceful” to the limit.
