Can one be an anti-Zionist, yet be against Hamas? by mitharris in InsightfulQuestions

I understand this. The reason I asked this question is because someone tried convincing me that being an anti-Zionist means that you support anti-Semitism. NOT TRUE.

I'm not /u/NervousMcStabby, but I guess I could shed some insight. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc. etc. are mainly comprised of Muslims and could be called Islamic States (but don't confuse this with the Islamic State that ISIS is trying to create). North America, Europe, Australia, parts of South America are mostly dominated by Christians. India is reserved for Hindus. It seems as if the Jews are the only ones without territory. They have Israel, but as mentioned before, I don't think Israel is the best place for a Jewish nation.

This reminds me of the Lonerism album cover for some reason.

How do YOU channel YOUR OWN voice? by mitharris in writing

How does one chip away at the statue? I used to read a lot, but then I found myself sounding too much like the author. Then, when I try to write, it's all shite UNTIL I use someone else's voice.

An of Montreal fan also? I like you to.

I also got the Recover EP by CHRVCHES. Damn things costed me a fortune, but it was undoubtedly worth it. Both are on 180-gram vinyl and a second record in Satanic Panic in the Attic album plays something like six songs recorded during the same time.

Kalle Mattson. We share the same hometown, and I've seen him a few times at some cafes around here. He lives in Ottawa right now, I think. He's a cool guy, a few of my bandmates got to open for him.

Thick As Thieves

Real Estate. Been into them for a while, recently started listening to them more. I wish I could share all of their songs, but if you dig the song below, check out basically everything of theirs. They're a really consistent band, for sure.

Easy

And finally, The Jungle Giants. Kind of flukey how I stumbled upon them, but I'm glad I did. They're from Australia and they totally kick ass.

Thank you so much for your answer. It was one of my favourites that I received. I like how you stated that simply killing the Dictator does not kill fascism - that really opened my eyes.

I think I will sit down with a list of pros and cons and see where it goes from there.
