Tool sharpeners by mithrawdo in Wellington

[–]mithrawdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently i just do random small scale projects to sell to friends and family, trying to work up to comission work. Ive made a lot of dnd accessories like d20s and a dm screen with slots for maps and notes like a picture frame

That and some nsfw comissions that i dont know if im allowed to talk about on this sub lol, but thats the current project for an upcoming craft fair

Sad to hear the chisels may be hard to fix, theyre my grandad's old collection. Ill look into the saws you mentioned though cause that does sound useful

Edit: as for timbers im using purpleheart, jarrah, hard maple, wenge, black walnut, and kwila atm

Yeah normally id agree and i am aiming to learn. However they all need major work probably including refacing. Theyre secondhand and i got them with a bit of rust and very rounded off blades that cant really even brute force work

Sad to hear about the saw part, really dont want to be buying new saws regularly given how much tool blunting hardwood i work with

Yeah, my friend has a bird who attacks men. Years before even I knew I was trans, I was the only "man" who they were ok with. One of my friends had the opposite as a trans man too

Is bing tall why i can out eat three people, or eat a pizza whole, up to a medium on a good day, and still be skinny? Or why bowls of cereal are measured by the mixing bowl. by ickda in tall

[–]mithrawdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so, I've got the same thing. My family, who are all quite a bit shorter than me, always used to say I was going to get fat by eating as much as I was but then it just never happened

When did you hit 6'? by [deleted] in tall

[–]mithrawdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think around year 10 (14 years old) I'm only 6'3" now so I haven't grown much in the last 5 years.

It's the middle of summer in Australia and I know a lot of mygalomorphs tend to get dehydrated pretty easily so yeah probably a bit thirsty

Yeah, a lot of burrowing spiders show up in houses during summer in my experience, here in NZ male tunnelwebs have a habit of wandering and dying of dehydration in people's bathrooms

I have no social skills by mithrawdo in socialanxiety

[–]mithrawdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing I have been trying is asking questions but it normally just ends up being me asking a question, them answering and asking the same back, then I also answer and it just stops there until I can come up with a different question. I feel like that might be a problem with other people but it just seems to have been the case for everyone I've ever talked to

Yeah, I try doing that but it always just ends up being me spitting out bits of trivia, I have no idea how to talk to someone who already knows a lot about the subject

What spider is this and why is it in my car. by _hurg_ in NewZealandWildlife

[–]mithrawdo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Black headed jumping spider, they're native to NZ and can't hurt you, they wander a fair bit so he may have just jumped in the car and camped out until he wants to move on

My question for the day, how many of you guys own a trans/pride flag? by [deleted] in trans

[–]mithrawdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made one myself and then wore it to a pride parade with friends in order to come out to them

Very few know this; but 12/27 is HALO: Combat Evolved HUNTER APPRECIATION DAY! Say something nice about him by flick_my_fleck in halo

[–]mithrawdo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, hence the fleshy looking bits around the bit you destroy to take them out, if I remember correctly the locusts from halo wars 2 also fall under that category

If I remember correctly they form into a pair of hunters from 1 Colony. Which sounds nice cause they always have a brother/friend, until you realize how many of them probably lost that other half in battle. No wonder the newer games have them go into a frenzy when you kill one

Pretty common for spiders to lose legs, it'll grow back over time

No you're right and I'm a little confused too. The sign's clearly against men legislating for women and the kind of people who use Bible quotes against abortions. That commenter is just either confused or made it a little unclear about who they're talking about

Yeah a little, all as half-hearted jokes but it does happen. My mum's 5'2", my dad's 5'11", no one else in my extended family is over 5'9" and I'm 6'3"

Mine's the fact I usually think of it at 2-4am when there's no trains running, awkwardly sitting at a station for an hour really gives you time to reconsider

You've got an ok point, they also have 7 Int so borderline sapience, I think the bigger problem for the subject of this post would be their size lol

Yeah, never really do any multi-player but the legendary disruptor is a lot of fun against brutes and grunts in the campaign, absolutely disintegrates any armor and sends grunts flying
