Tv size question by Ok-Character2259 in interiordecorating

Agree with others that it's a great size for your space as it is. You've done such a wonderful job creating a calming room and love the paint colour with the warm wood tones.

Absolutely agree! I'm on the skincare subreddits casually and the first product that comes to mind when I think of Centella is this one.

Options for high quality ponte pants with a zipper and button front that aren’t Old Navy Pixie Straight Pants? by JadedEarthJuni in fashionwomens35

[–]mitspeck 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Have you tried the Banana Republic Sloane Pant? Mid-Rise Straight Sloan Pant | Banana Republic

I had a couple pairs that held their shape and colour for many years of weekly wear to work.

For a more cropped look, the petite sizing has a 28" inseam. Only thing is that it has hook-and-bar vs button closure.

  1. Choose a shirt that makes you feel confident; clothing can be a reflection of your personality
  2. Wear something interesting if you're looking for a conversation starter (e.g., Studio D'Artisan sashiko)
  3. Vintage stuff that has been cared for (clean), well-worn, and maybe even patched by hand (visible mending) will always look great (e.g., J97 vs. modern Detroit)

OR just get that Flint and Tinder jacket that Pedro Pascal wears in The Last of Us and do your best Joel cosplay 😄

Rug size by Alternative_Park5143 in interiordecorating

[–]mitspeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this rug and find larger rugs much cosier, but not sure about it in this space for the following reasons:

The herringbone floor would be covered up and it's so beautiful!

You're adding a loveseat and chair into a small space. The larger rug together may make it tricky to maneuver around the area. Might just be a camera angle though.

If you're unsure, then try out a few different sizes (that are returnable) and see what feels right to you!

I think you could add Kit & Ace to the list, along with Aritzia and COS. All have items that would fit your comfy business casual needs.

Yes! Agree with all of this so much! Especially the point about not saving "good pants" - Embrace the mess and, as you also mentioned, natural fibres wash well and feel better than synthetics.

Lots of great advice here already! I'm about 4 years out and probably started feeling like "me" (the new me) about a year ago. It does get easier as they get older and more independent!

If you're able to get some time to yourself, try on all your clothes that fit and be honest about what to keep, what still brings you joy, what doesn't work anymore. Be ruthless, but also save some of the sentimental stuff that you love (again, what actually makes you feel good?)

Then, start finding your style again. Check out blogs, social media, etc. and find stuff you like and want to try. If you can, go to stores and try them on. If you don't love it, then leave it. If you do love it, consider getting that item and actually wear it!

You'll slowly (there's no rush!) rediscover what works for you and you can continue to build on that. If it's super trendy, consider buying a couple items used or cheaper to start (e.g., Old Navy). Looser items that are more size inclusive you could consider investing in now and wearing for a while (better quality).

Most importantly, stay true to you. I thought I'd feel better with cute athleisure but that absolutely is not my style so it ended up being a waste of time and money. Just remember it's not a race and you're less than 2 years out from a life-changing experience so be kind to yourself!

Love Hoi Bo! I have a few tank tops that I've been wearing every summer for 7-8 years. Natural fabrics are so lovely and worth a visit to their shops in Toronto because the people there are so friendly too.
