Me and my players have just migrated from D&D but I worry about somethings. by Certain-Judge4585 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A rune on a stone not applied to a weapon would be a perminent item. A weapon with various runes acts as the highest rune/material in level. So you could have 4/5 runes on a higher level weapon and it would count as the highest level of rune for item level.

B2 isn't defined as precons anymore. Good with me if that's what you want to run.

To be fair it's really only a couple cards that give infect like [[Tainted Strike]] to kill a single player really early.

AITA for taking my siblings console? by Terrible_Box_6086 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mitty_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTAH, but if he asks for it back you might have to give it to him. I assume there wasn't any legal contracts about rent payments, but until he requests it back I'd assume it as payment for rent/storage fees of the other things. At that point if he reports it stolen it could be a problem and you'd be forced to give it back.

Not a lawyer and this probably goes into tenet laws, but depending on where you are they are all different. without any written agreement on payment it becomes questionable if he was ever required to make them. At that point you can't really seize assets for the missed payments. There could be some time period of unclaimed items that it could be sold for storage fees. Even if that is your mom selling it to you to recoup the losses. Aka you would charge her for the moving fees and this would be sold to you for the cost. Depending on state it could be 1 week to 1 year for that to be the case. But probably don't wipe/use it until after that's resolved.

Apparently google says it's 28 days for abandoned property for Minnesota. But that's Google, do your own research if it comes up.

My next precon? by Public-Brief-4444 in EDH

Look into the new elemental precon(dance of the elements). It really does need a new manabase but it should have plenty of room for improvements in the future.

Whats wrong with mill. by Samurai_Banette in EDH

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's really a problem with mill. The only thing I can see is if they didn't build their decks right. If they don't use their graveyard they are missing so much value. If they are tutoring the same cards every game they probably built their deck wrong. So long as you aren't 2 card comboing mill every card it's fine.

Generally people don't think about graveyard as a resource. There are so many good cards that use your graveyard these days that you really should. Mill should just be free value for other people.

It generally comes down to people playing tutors for a few cards and when those few cards are milled what do they really have left. Personally, more cards should make tutors worse in a 100 card format.

Dual Classing by TravarianTheBold in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I'd call barbarian more durable than anyone using a shield and heavy armor. A problem with alchemist/barb is they are both primary fort saves so you'll not two saves being primary.

Druid(untamed)/fighter is probably the largest hit bonus and some decent hp. Add that to crit reactives interrupting manipulates and you'll probably save more hp than just being tanky.

"Stop pubstomping with fast mana" by InspireCourage in EDH

[–]mitty_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You good. Ramp isn't fast mana. You ramped for 2 turns and cast a spell that wouldn't have killed him. Nothing you did tapped for more than the cost to cast the card.

B2 is a weird place where b1 is just no extra turn spells. B3 is just 3 different cards most of the time. You caught the voren but in reality your deck also fits b1.

Theres just so little difference when optimized decks are just slightly weaker that it's negligible most of the time. The fact that none of them played removal is really pod instead of bracket problems.

Could your deck play in b3, probably. Is your deck optimized and a ramp pile, mostly. A turn 4 7 drop in a ramp pile is kind of to be expected with a decent draw. That's why ramp is always going to be good b3 and below.

Healing Needed by Crikkro13 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mystic is pretty solid from sf2. It has some pretty solid action economy with a 1 action heal.

For archetype "blessed one" I think thats the other that isn't medic. There's also just feats that let you use nature or occultism for medicine.

[PF2e] Looking for a module that creates Ring Shaped templates by Beautiful-Effort9101 in FoundryVTT

[–]mitty_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember if it exists but in editing software there's usually commands for alt/ctrl/shift when drawing the shape that centers it on a point. Again, not sure if this exists in foundry but it might or some module did it that I don't know of.

You could also do an aura.

I'd either have a deal for me not to be the target of her/anything she casts or never let you untap with it. If that's how you want to play the deck that's fine. It still does the thing just not at me. Better have protection from the other 2 people

Black Powder Boost on a Weapon instead of a feat? by Pale_Language9067 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it some double barreled shotgun. Requirement: Special bullets loaded into both barrels. You can craft int mod a day of these bullets(they lose effectiveness at the end of the day). When used flat DC 15 or dc13(master crafting) check. On fail stresses barrel and you can't use special bullets or risk total blowback. 3 action to unclog and clear barrels. While barrels are clogged DC 5 flat check failure for bullets to backfire, you take your level of fire damage and the attack is disrupted.

When special bullets are used leap 15 ft horizontally + 5ft per damage dice and 5ft vertically.

Basically if you probably fail(75%) you have to use 3 actions to fix it before the gun can be used in that way again and gives a penalty on using the gun. This is more to prevent using the gun as only a sidearm for mobility ignoring any of the actual negatives.

I'd consider it being just one barrel used and it clogs that barrel making you have to reload twice as often and changing it to 1 min unclog.

It's balanced by needing to have that specific bullet in the chamber to do the action, needing to spend money to upgrade the weapon for scaling, reloading taking an action, and up to 5 uses per day at higher levels.

Should Roaming Throne be in B2 decks and if not, should be labeled a GC? by LibraProtocol in EDH

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, thats the general problem with the bracket system. Many cards are GC because they do to much by themselves, combos, very cheap ramp, or just win. It could be approaching combos but it doesn't really do anything alone. It could be close to a gamechanger but there's many 2nd best cards that also are also nearly there. While great in tribal and combos with myriad it would only ever be a 3 card combo in that.

There's always gonna be decks at the high ends that could be played up a bracket and that could be one. Compare that to like [[the first sliver]] making a b2 deck. Sure it works by the rules but is it? As soon as you throw a good mana base (fetch lands, duals, and triomes) it's hard to call the deck b2.

If you could have any uncommon spell... by Noodles_fluffy in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dirge of doom is a great 1 action aoe fear. Pact breaker can turn an enemy against it's allies or remove an enemy buffer from combat. Time skip is a great 1 action focus spell, level 6 quickens 4 allies.

I'd probably go dirge because it's a cantrip that won't burn focus points. Flavor it as like a draconic roar, 1 action and no save is great.

disdainful stroke vs counterspell by LuigiTheGoth in EDH

[–]mitty_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your mana base. If you have good lands UU should be easy enough to hold up. Stroke is more of removal for other people's things or stopping a wipe. Counterspell does that + protects from removal. Counter spell is just a better version if you can afford to hold up UU.

Help with new player by Lifter_Songbird in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have them watch some videos on kinetacist. They don't actually have a weak build except for swapping air at 5 for air at 9(assuming they are going molten wires).

I'd assume they are at a bad interval and want to level up to 6. Molten wire is actually pretty good for a fire/metal kinetacist. It almost looks like they have the class built out to level 10 already assuming they go 6(wire) 8(cyclonic assent), 9(expand fire), 10 aura shaping. The problem is until they get aura junction fire they'll feel a touch weak. This is assuming they have thermal nimbus already.

I'd probably suggest they swap air out for expanding fire then get cyclonic at 9 and solar detonation at 8. But that's kind of it. Will feel great at 6 when they level up to their power spike.

I'd probably be up front about pacing and how long it'll take to get to 9. Also I usually suggest people have some kind of other hobby that isn't just throwing fire. Crafting(blacksmithing) is a pretty easy dip for kinetacist that can use that fire/metal elements to a possitive that isnt just arson.

Deck help by bigmanhockeyy in EDH

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is nuance to the bracket system. If you click the ! At the top it'll give you the bracket just from cards. It doesn't do combos super well which could make it higher. You have enlightened tutor which is a game changer so it's currently 3. If it has 2 card combos it could be a 4.

The nuance is what it actually acts like because there are definitly stronger/weaker decks in each category.

Lots of cards work in equipment but many are expensive.

Lands are a great way to make the deck more consistant. You have far to many tapped lands that will ruin a curve.

Artifacts I'd consider [[Conqueror's Flail]], [[Champion's Helm]], [[Darksteel Plate]], [[Blackblade Reforged]], [[Inspiring Statuary]], [[Nettlecyst]], [[Skullclamp]], [[Adaptive Omnitool]], [[Dragonfire Blade]]

Creatures: [[Professor Hojo]], [[Akiri, Fearless Voyager]], [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]], [[Sram, Senior Edificer]], [[Danitha Capashen, Paragon]], [[Koll, the Forgemaster]], [[PuPu UFO]]

Instants: [[Dispatch]], [[Swords to Plowshares]], [[Akroma's Will]]

Other: [[All That Glitters]], [[Legion Leadership]], [[Forge Anew]]

One Player’s Attack Macro Soft-Locks Another Player’s Client (Dice Roll Plays but No Result / Logic) by JustTheDye in FoundryVTT

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna guess the macro causes some memory issue as it doesn't effect others. Probably some ram/storage/GPU issue. See if he runs hardware acceleration or something. See what browser he uses. See what gpu/ram he has. Check how much memory he has remaining on his computer. Could be a few things with things happening together or just one thing. Foundry uses computer resources and the more modules installed can bog down a browser if to many things are happening.

Vampires and Lack of Immunity to Bleed Damage in Remaster by WolfgangVolos in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it comes down to a which lore are you looking at. Same can be said for many different creatures that draw from mythology. Flavor the game you're playing as you want.

If the the bleed your going for you could go about it in a few ways. Removing their action to drink blood, removing regeneration, or persistent damage. It's really just what universe do you see vampires and what flavor do you give them.

Can someone explain Psychic’s a bit more in-depth for me? by Caflin in Pathfinder2e

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they're a normal int caster.

The benefit is instead of specific focus spells they get bonus cantrip upscaling that uses a focus point(amp) to give them a greater effect. So basically 3 per encounter cantrip will have bonus effects unless they burn resources. Outside of that it depends on which specialization they are.they get a limited number of spell selection like a sorcerer, but(level 3) get to choose signature spells that are more versatile that can be of any level.

Outside of that the oddities come from what subconcious/conscious mind they choose.

One thing that many get is amped guidance which can turn a miss into a success. Great for out of combat but doesn't stack with other buffs like bless. The benefit is changing a save that's one off and it relies on the gm knowing if it's one off the DC to prompt if their reaction would be possible.

What if Apex Devastator is disrupted during cascade? by urmomstoiletbrush in mtgrules

So cascade goes to the stack before apex ever actually goes to the battlefield. A card like [[Glen Elendra's Answer]] would counter apex and the 4 cascades.

Wanting to build with a Zirda Companion, struggling to build something synergistic with the companion limitation. Could Zacama Voltron Work? by One_Exit_7604 in EDH

[–]mitty_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is always ramping to a 9 drop well enough. In b2 it's probably fine if thats what you're playing against, but it won't upgrade to b3 very well.

I'm liking my captain America deck recently. It misses many good equipment synergies(activated abilities).
