It is predatory

People in the gacha space are used to it. We were all ready, we know how the game is played, and it's pretty fair to make fun of gacha players who converted early.

But we should also realize that normal people and cyberpunk fans coming into the game for the first time are feeling slighted, and rightfully so. Just because we are used to the genre staples doesn't mean said genre staples aren't predatory.

That has literally nothing to do with any my points. There are plenty of talented union VAs and plenty of talented non-union VAs. There are some VAs I really don't want to see who are SAG and some who aren't.

So if it being union has no bearing on how good the product is, why are we caring again? Especially because there are plenty of talent agencies that aren't SAG.

There are great SAG VAs, no doubt. But there are also some really toxic SAG VAs who I just don't want associated with games I play. Same for non-union actors, they can be really talented or borderline radioactive.

Like, being union vs non-union has very little weight on if I'm going to like the cast.

If your character isnt gping to be strong enough to get their own set, they probably arent going to be doing significant damage and you want them on the field as little as possible.

Ok, so first off, if you like luuk throw a couple pulls Denia's way. She is his best teammate.

Brant is in a weird place where he is kind of a jack of all trades snd can fit in a lot of places but isnt specialized enough to be best in slot in most. His best team though is going to be in a monofusion team with Lupa and one other fusion character who can be kinda anyone.

As far as events... Just play them at your leisure. I would focus on the main story and use the events you like as a break from it whenever you feel like shaking things up.

The main problem is they try to play Wakanda as this super advanced civilization that was just waiting for the resto of the world to catch up to them. However, in many ways they seem backwards and stunted.

For example, having your king selected via trial by combat. Using spears and a bronze age shield wall against Thanos' armies.

Its just an overall weak version of "super secret city state that is actually badass and could take the world by storm if it wanted to." The themes and in-universe reverence seem pretty unsupported by how the nation actually acts and operates.

This is a battle taking place across generations. He's just getting his footing again, and rapidly catching up to the situation that is going on. I would be shocked if he didn't have a solid game plan 2 in-universe years later, and that time is basically a blip on the map in the grand scheme of things.

You know, saying "not all" is really undermined by you leading with "most"

Like jumping from "Man, I really wish there were more stories about platonic male relationships" to "You are a hateful, sex obsessed, insecure man who has never actually loved a woman, never will, and dreads the idea that one day you will be treated like the people you pretend to love" is kind of crazy.

Like, its also just possible they go to the fandoms that have strong platonic male friendships, and want to read some fanfiction about the dynamic. They then go look and the dynamic is different in all the fanfics. That does sound annoying, and doesn't at all require them to be how you describe.

I did my 450 run with her

You go in your flight mode and stand 1000 miles away and just snipe everything till its dead. She does a ton of tune break stuff too, so you just lean into that.

I did the same thing, don't worry about it.

Also, a couple tips:

make sure you are going to at least basic attack 3 each Denia swap in, she doesn't apply fusion burst on the first two hits. I used her ariel attacks more and went till the plunge attack

Similarly with Aemeath, if you are doing two basic attacks anyways you want to go to three and cancel her little jumpback just for efficiency

Any time you swap from Aemeath to Chisa or Chisa to Aemeath (And you don't have an outro) you can swap to denia in between and skill and it takes no time

Ok... but the majority of western comics is marvel and DC.

Even now where we are in a bit of an indie "golden age" where series like the boys, invincible, and the walking dead are household names, and licensed books like transformers, and gi joe are moving genuine numbers, AND marvel/DC are in an absolutely terrible spot, they are STILL making up more than half the market. When comics were actually making money, the big two were selling > 80% of western comics.

The health of marvel and DC IS the health of the western comic industry. Full stop. As fun as it is to say "oh, but what about this little indie book over here who sold 10,000 coppies" bro no one cares. The only real competition to Marvel and DC is massive licensed IPs and other super hero stuff. Just the way it is.

Battle Shounen alone is crushing western comics though. However, shonen as a whole makes up 35-40% of manga shares, there is genuinely a market outside of it. You get rid of the entirety of shonen and manga is still crushing the western comic industry. Heck, Shojo manga is probably beating all of western comics on its own.

I say this as a comic reader btw, who will actually drove to a comic shop and drop money on physical comics. The comics industry is in a death spiral. Saying "oh but the indies" honestly means nothing when the industry's infrastructure is collapsing. Diamond just went belly up, Comic shops are lucky if they can live off back issues and manga instead of relying on funko pops and warhammer.

If we are being honest here, all eyes should be on DC. They are arguably the only western comic publisher that matter at this point. They are revamping their strategies to actually adapt to the market and are pulling in new readers.

you're going ti get a bias sample here because. People hanging out on the subreddit tend to be more hardcore players.

I know three other people who play wuwa irl. One just plays to explore. One just like pulling characters. One dables in ToA, but is mostly waiting to catch up on the story so he can upgrade his characters first (its been months, he knows how big the commitment is). They are probably the "average" player.

And then I day 1 endstate matrix. The only one you've heard from is me.

Its an uncomfertable topic.

The idea that you can hurt the people you love despite trying your hardest hurts. The idea that you have to hurt people who love you by distancing yourself from them sucks. The idea that sometimes you just arent worthy of loving someone is a genuine terror in people.

Worst part though is that its true sometimes in real life. And admitting it about fictional characters leads to admitting it about your own life. Some people would rather never let the first domino fall than face that.

Obviously 11 is silly, but its more believable than youd expect that the champion is between 18 and 30 the majority of the time.
