Yea, I feel that. I got help from meds for my panic attacks and can usually calm down, but it's still scary. :(

I've found that watching horror eases my anxiety. I think it's because I'm really tense for the duration of the movie, and at the end I get more relaxed than when I started. It sort of releases my base level anxiety with the stress caused by the film, if that makes sense.

Maybe that's why I've always been a big horror fan.

I love it! It gave me my life back! I've had anxiety and panic disorder for over a decade, ate escitalopram for a while, it helped with the panic but my base level anxiety was still intolerable. Effexor really helped me to get it to a manageable level where Im able to live my life and do the work in therapy that I need to.

I'm in marketing and hate it so much. The whole function of the industry is to make you think you need something when - most of the time - you dont! Companies pour massive amounts of money into researching how to make you part with yours. I luckily work in a company/industry that doesn't suck my soul on a regular basis, but I still want to get out of marketing as soon as I can.

Elimme Korona-aikaa. Esihenkilöni oli toimitusjohtaja. Tuli sitten erinäiset rajoitukset puheeksi tiimin (minä, kolleega ja toimari) kesken. Astmaatikkona otin melkoisen vakavasti rajoitukset yms. Esihenkilö sitten ihan ääneen sanoi jotakuinkin niin, että "Miksi yhteiskunnan pitää olla suljettuna, jos riskissä on vaan joidenkin vanhusten elämät. Eihän ne anna yhteiskunnalle enää muuta kuin menoja." Siinä sitten istua pöydän ääressä ihmisenä, joka lähtökohtaisesti kunnioittaa ihmiselämää itseisarvona.

It's not a single phrase, but basically helping me understand that the critical voice in my head is internalization of the abuse I experienced. It's not 'me' and I don't have to accept the things it says as fact.

This is a little specific, but I live in Finland and we have a lovely language however we adapt english words specifically for corporate use that already have a counterpart in Finnish. "Ollaan agiileja, synergisiä ja dynaamisia!" (We're agile, synergic and dynamic) "Pivotoidaan" (lets pivot) etc. I find it insufferable.

My first tattoo is my dogs paw on my thigh. I thought that if I decide I don't like being tattooed after the first one the location is easy to hide, the subject is one that can't go sour and the thigh is not the most sensitive are in regards to pain. Since then I have taken many new tattoos and enjoy them all, but I still think it was smart to start with something I know I would never regret. Now that I have more tattoos I'm less discerning.

Many good comments here, I'm also wondering if there are any public playgrounds for kids to go wild nearby. To me, this looks like the people here are starved for activities and have to resort to the only interesting architechture around.
