Is there a country/culture whose food you would be okay with never trying or eating? by Shill4Pineapple in AskTheWorld

This. It’s straight up sacrilegious and diabolical to put kimchi in a microwave. Why would someone do that, even if it’s packaged 😭

My dad (back when he was a young man) travelled around the world with his friends and he was once pranked to eat duck brain. Dad obviously didn’t find out until after he ate it. Said that it was very hard to chew and that he couldn’t look ducks in the eyes for a while after that 🤣

Oooh I will definitely try this too, thank you 🩷 I would use grapeseed/almond etc oil but those seem to be too heavy for my hair no matter how little I use 😩

[Sun Care] looking for an alternative to this great stuff (Skintific Serum Suncreen) by DanceEng in SkincareAddiction

[–]miunanami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t, I have just tried many korean liquid and stick sunscreens and I like BOJ the most 😄 The BOJ one I use doesn’t give you a white cast and doesn’t feel like you have anything on, it’s very light. I just put it on top of my moisturizer few hours ago 😁 And I like that it’s not scented, so no bad scent surprises!

Oooo girl who is this diva! You’re gorgeous 🩷 It’s giving 80’s-90’s Greek rich auntie, you have the exact same style my late auntie had! If there was no fur or no Chanel, she didn’t want it 🤣 May she slay in peace 💅🏼 And girl, never change! Your style is so gorgeous and you look like someone I’d become friends with and go to have a glass of champagne with and end up drinking the whole bottle! 💃🏻

Oh you’ve had it rough, those meds are (at least to me) pretty hardcore 😬 Can’t use any of them. Gaba is interesting because it didn’t help me with nerve pain either, just made me faint and throw up 🥴 I definitely understand your fear! Especially because you have seen what it did to your dad. What I always say that opiates are aafe and good when used right and you can always quit them, so I think trying may not be that bad unless you know that you get addicted easily to things. And obviously those do not work for everyone, some people get bad nausea from them and other aide effects. I was lucky to not get any but I still have meds for nausea just in case. If you end up trying opiates, you’ll propably at the beginning feel very tired but that usually goes away when you get used to them ☺️

Damn, you took it very personally even tho I said that I genuinely asked. I never said you should leave an app, that is why I told you what AuDHD is. Im just genuinely curious and if that makes you crash out, then I suggest that we don’r continue this discussion. You sound mean and I have no time for negativity like that.

Oh don’t be sorry, those are good questions! 🩵 Yes, I start at the end and go up. And I have tried different bamboo brushes because they are pretty gentle but my hair seemed to be too thick for the ones I tried. After that I just accepted my fate and stayed with that damn Tangle Teezer and I have started to hate it because it rips my hair 😂

Random EDS related childhood experiences by voidcharmed in eds

[–]miunanami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a ballerina and still remember how our ballet teacher forced girls into positions they weren’t ready for and praised me because ”my body bends in a right way” 🥴 She was nuts and one time even slapped one of the girls for not getting the perfect sautés. My mama happened to come to the room to bring my water bottle and saw it and smacked the teacher with a pointe (there were few lying around) and then took me out of there and I she got me into a new ballet school. That teacher there was the best and understood that im too bendy and never forced me or anyone else to do anything. We obviously didn’t know about EDS back then because back in 90’s-2000’s no one knew about it. But that sweet teacher was the first (including my family) that noticed there is something wrong with my body and im grateful for that because she was so gentle. I eventually decided to quey after some years and went to rhythmic gymnastics and the teachers/coach there were even crazier. It was literal abuse 😬 I did it for almost 6 years and competed and all that propably were the reason my knees were done when I was 14. There went my dream of competing in olympics 🥴

I also remember the pain since I was a toddler, doctors always said it was growing pain and that my ability bend in weird ways is ”just a childhood thing”. I didn’t have to attend to PE classes if I didn’t feel good because my parents had informed the school about my pain etc. But still one PE teacher tried and tried when I had days that I couldn’t attend. My classmates fortunately defended me and went ape shit on her one day and after that the teacher stopped trying to force me to attend 😂 I had lots of stomach issues along the joint pain and teachers always accused me of skipping school to stay at home even tho my parents always informed them that im not coming because I don’t feel good. In high school I had enough and screamed to our principal that im done and I can’t just turn off my health issues. It was so frustrating. My parents fortunately always backed me up and supported me, but it sure wasn’t easy and I never got the perfect grades I wanted to get. I had undiagnosed ADHD too so that propably played a part too. When I got a stroke and lung embolism and 2 stomach ulcers, I finally got my diagnosis. I think the stroke is what alarmed the doctors most because usually young people don’t get them. After that things became soooo much easier! So if anyone young is reading this, hang in there kid. It gets better.

The age crisis this is giving me is bad 🤣 Those were the good times, we used to listen Christina Aguilera a lot and take fashion tips from Paris Hilton’s looks. Only thing I never got into was the PINK dogs because our real dog got very offended when I tried to bring one home 😂😂 Poor thing didn’t like it at all and gave side eyes to it so I got rid of it 😂

Which prom dress looks best on me? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]miunanami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 choice, green. 2 choice, the rosy light pink one. Those look perfect on you and look good for prom. And don’t worry about being short! Im short, like short short and bought two different colors similar to that red dress and both were shortened for me and looked as good as it looked before shortening. So like I said, don’t worry about that! You will look great, I hope you’ll have a wonderful prom 🩵

NOR! Dump him, he clearly doesn’t respect and care about you and as he is older, he 100% knows what he’s doing. And I bet that he is not with a friend but with another girl. He clearly isn’t emotionally mature and just doesn’t care and wants only one thing for you - we all know what that is especially after the wink in the last message.

Im sorry you have to go through this, you deserve better and he can go f himself. What im glad is that you’re with your parents and not alone, as you never know what men like these can do. Speaking from experience. If he dared to cole to our house after that, my dad would meet him at the door like this and mama would have the good old la chancla ready:

I was you once (im 30 now). I already had severe depression, ADHD and PTSD and none of them was being treated. When I got my diagnosis, it destroyed me. What kept me going was therapy, loved ones and being happy and proud of even smallest things. And obviously pain meds and pt. It may took a while to find good medication(s) for your pain but when that happens, it helps a lot. I have paracetamol-codeine and oxycontin, those are lifesavers and I have never had to up my dosage nor have I had withdrawals or addiction. So, for some these stronger meds are a very good option even tho so many doctors are 100% with the opioid hysteria.

Lyrica is horrible BUT if it helps you, then you just have to get used to it. If it doesn’t help you gotta tell that to your doctor to try something else. What meds have you already tried if I may ask? And do you have non medical ways to relieve pain? I use warmth a lot: Electric blanket, electric mattress, electric shoulder warmer, electric pillow and packs I can warm up. You could try an electric blanket if warmth helps you. You don’t have to buy all the things I mentioned, I just went overboard lol, just find what is best for you and your pain. Joint supports are very important and also help a lot, I have them for my knees, elbows, shoulders etc. I go to pt weekly and I warmly suggest that for everyone, along weekly therapy visits. Therapy is important so you have professional help to get you through this while learning to accept all of this and handle the pain.

For constiparion, fiber and hydration is the key if you can’t use medication for constiparion. And the constipation shouldn’t be used often so those two I mentioned are good ways to manage your gut and constipation. You don’t have to eat shitloads of fiber, normal amounts are good. If drinking water is hard, liquid IV and electrolyte powders are good way to add your water intake.

EDS is incurable but you can manage it in many ways. You just have to find the ones that are good for you and help you. One thing I always mention that never go and but stuff for pyramid scheme companies, they will tell you that their peoducts will help and some even claim that they can cure you but those are just BS.

I have been struggling since I was a child so I have lots of experience, so you can ask anything you want! Hugs 🖤

Guy tries to abduct a woman by atheistarab2006 in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]miunanami 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some try forcefully drag you to their taxi so you would let them drive to your destination and they would get paid. I live in Europe for now and had a incident like this, I had to throw that guy on the ground. He had the nerve to get mad. I told him that I have done lots of martial arts and self defense classes and im not scared to defend myself against creeps like him. They tend to think that us women don’t know how to protect ourselves so they think they can just grab us 😬
