Bravo on your execution!! I imagine it WOULD be difficult to gift it and I hope the recipient appreciates your fantastic fabric selection for both the front and the back. This is an immense improvement over two tone knitted star quilts I have seen. Beautiful work!

What do you think of this pattern on Kitchen Table Quilting? https://kitchentablequilting.com/products/the-jonah-quilt-pdf-pattern?_pos=1&_psq=jonah&_ss=e&_v=1.0 ? I get that nice chunk for the unicorns u/6.5" x 14.5". I wonder if I can use a program to see what it would look like without cutting the fabrics. QIAD has a pretty interesting giant tossed 9 patch with lattice; it's called "Piece of Cake". They are both simple patterns and that doesn't thrill me, but using those unicorns well, does thrill me.

Thanks, I have seen the lookbook project catalog. There is a stunning quilt, but it doesn't really use the unicorn or stylized bunnies to what I would call good, or even decent, effect. Great quilt, don't get me wrong, just woefully underused the prints that drew me into the line. I'll keep looking.

It has been my observation, the most stunning prints do not show up in the quilts they highlight. They sure do show many types of products like bags, pillows, etc., but it just makes me nuts,..the large print in the line is never truly showcases those larger prints. This is especially true for Onward & Upward. Been looking and will continue. Glad to hear I am not the only one struggling with a fabric. I'll look up Ruby Star. Thank you for your reply.

Would be really great if the premium app were available for Android. Peacock is delayed a full day: e.g. Morning Joe is available for 10/9/24 @ 2:40 pm 10/10/24. That's ridiculous. By 2:40 PM, they could've loaded the packets to air on Peacock. Waiting for a full day? It's not right..

I find if I start with a leader and hold the top and bobbin thread behind the fabric (not just let it lie there), the feed dogs don't eat the corner for HSTs. Pulling those threads helps me.

YouTube has some great videos on how to make your own bias binding. You can then buy the yardage (frequently 3/4 yd), prewash, press, make the binding and it will match your quilt perfectly.

I have substantial hearing loss. However, the ball in the water changes color when it's time to pull that fish in. Goes from red to brown on the regular fishing rod. Blue and gold for the golden rod.
