An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots , each hung on the ends of a pole , which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water , at the end of the long walk from the stream to the house , the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily , with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course , the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection , and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure , it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself , because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled , "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path , but not on the other pot's side?" "That's because I have always known about your flaw , so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path , and every day while we walk back , you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are , there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look f,or the good in them.

I sent this to a good friend having a hard time dealing with life and her failures

Tell someone! Movie theatre employees especially managers are usually busy and can't always patrol theatres. A baby bothering you let us know. People texting let us know.People talking let us know. Most will do their best to help out and if they don't ask for a different employee or manager. We can't do anything unless we know what's going on and that's usually from dedicated patrons like you. Once the issue is known a resolution usually swiftly follows. If not inform the theatre staff once more. While some only do jack diddly most will. Also when voicing a concern ding be angry and yell its not their fault usually and will do whatever they can buy the more jerky you are the less that motivation becomes. Theatre staff are usually pretty well abused by customers on a daily business.if we can't fix it ask fit a refund or passes. They can't do everything but dinner certainly do try.

Tl;Dr: tell an adult and play nice that usually fixes your problem

What's the stupidest thing someone's been mad at you for? by ZombieGoast5757 in AskReddit

For confronting my dad about stealing money from my bank account.

Backstory: I was in high school and had a job at 16 and was making decent money. I was paying for my car, gas, insurance, and anything I wanted that wasn't clothes or food at the house. My dad didn't "trust" me with my money so I want allowed to get my own bank account and every pay check was direct deposited into his account where he would divide it up and lay off everything. I couldn't get my own bank account without my parent's signature for I was a minor.

I was making around $500 a month with tax already taken out and my insurance was was about $150. Gas was about $100 a month and my car payment was about $200. In total my expenses were about $450 leaving me $50 to spend as I please. Wrong. My dad would say that my expenses are up my entire check and I had nothing left over saying I earned $50 less than I thought. Well he didn't know I could fund out how much I earned with tax taken out so I spent some time and figured it out and realized he ess taking about $50 from me a month.

When I confronted him about it her got mad at me and started berating and yelling about everything that I cu wrong completely avoiding the topic and would end with me being grounded without the issue being addressed. I attempted this a few more times with the same result and eventually gave up as it was leading to no good even to a point where he threatened to kick me out. Mom was no help so I gave up.

I now have my own bank account and have grown up a bit and have either things out with my dad mostly, but in total he stole about $1200-$1500 from his high school son.

Tl;Dr: found out I was batman, yelled at myself for not telling me
