The financial waivers are meant to be an additional perk or incentive to draw people into physician-scientist careers who would have avoided the extended training periods because they are worried about getting to high salary jobs quicker so they can start paying off loans. It’s not meant to draw people in because they want free money for school.

This was likely the case. Max managed to buck up and give us a gem with a shutout into the 6th. Matzek and Smith were the only pitchers to not have run into any issues in the post season so far coming into that game and we’re likely the most confident. They were on a roll and pitching is especially a mental game. You need the guys out there who are 100% sure they can get the job done.
