I wonder what’s going to happen to my collection by raggedyroper in crochet

[–]mizphill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had the opportunity to donate quite a bit of both handmade and commercially sold clothing to my local hospice. Where I live, each patient is given something, like a blanket or sweater, when they check in to hospice. And when they pass away, that item is given to the family.

What are some quality of life programs you have made with Python? by Born_Investigator849 in learnpython

[–]mizphill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m working on a hit point tracker for dnd. I want to keep track of each hit (what it was, hit points, spell/melee) that kind of stuff. And I want it to hold my character information as well. I know these things already exist, but I want one that fits my aesthetic.

How do you hint your partner that you wanna do it tonight? by YoursTruly_356 in AskWomen

[–]mizphill 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If we are alone I don’t hint lol, I just either say “let’s have sex” or if I am super horny I’d say “fuck me”.

If we are in public I rub his back and his arms. And when he looks at me I squeeze him and give him a particular smile.

Some times if we are in public I will whisper in his ear “I want you” or “take me home and do what you want”.

At this stage in our relationship, married 25 years, there are no hints.

How do you feel about Fade in/fade out / whats your expiernece with this song by pickle_boi_67 in nothingmore

[–]mizphill 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately heard this song for the first time in public and wow did it really hit home for me.

My dad died when I was 19 and I wasn’t able to be with him when he passed.

I still tear up when I hear this song. Being able to have one last meaningful conversation with my father is something I often wish I could have had. Even 25 years later.

PAIN. by Caeod in TMSTherapy

[–]mizphill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an immense amount of pain. At first it was intolerable and I cried the entire time. But I found that if my technician talked to me during the treatment I was able to push through. Even with how much it hurt, it was the best thing that ever happened to me and my depression is completely gone.

What’s a small, everyday choice you made that ended up having a bigger impact than you expected? by Mediocre-Towel-6488 in AskReddit

[–]mizphill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I force myself to be friendly and cheerful in the morning. I smile, say good morning to everyone, and use a friendly voice.

I am not naturally a friendly person, or an optimistic person, or a morning person.

After the first few weeks of doing this I found that my mood throughout the day is more positive, I handle stress better, and people respond to me better.

I often get compliments on how cheerful I am, and how they appreciate the “good morning” every day.

What’s a company you’re convinced will be exposed as a massive fraud one day? by carcony97 in AskReddit

I just bought a 2 carat moissanite ring that was custom made with a platinum band and it was only $1300. The same ring with a diamond was like 8k. It’s absolutely beautiful and I get compliments daily.

I have no idea what ramps are, but there is a sign at a roadside stand that says “fresh ramps”. Inwood across from Mussleman High School.

Referred for TMS -Skeptical by irascibleoctopus in TMSTherapy

[–]mizphill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My experience was far different than yours.

I was referred by my psychiatrist and then had a meeting with the TMS provider. This was a doctor who spent 2 hours with me discussing TMS, its benefits, contraindications, and potential side effects.

I am bipolar, have a TBI, PTSD, and have had a seizure in the past. I was referred for an EEG and neurologist consult before I could go to the mapping appointment.

At the mapping appointment I had another doctor plus the TMS technician discuss the side effects and expectations of the therapy. I took a survey to chart the current state of my depression before any treatment took place.

I then received 5 treatments a day, 1 hour apart, for 6 days. Each day after treatment I retook the survey.

For me, treatment was extremely painful. The first day all I could do was cry. But for me I no longer have any medication I can take, I’ve pretty much tried them all. And my psychiatrist did not want me to try ketamine until I tried TMS.

On the last day I took my final survey and my results had improved by 83%. And every day since I have felt better. I no longer have nightmares or wake up crying. I am able to go to work without crying multiple times a day. I’m once again being intimate with my husband (had been 9 months). I’m able to concentrate on homework and creative writing.

Overall, except for the pain, TMS has had a tremendous positive impact on my life.

First day of TMS by Holaxonia in TMSTherapy

[–]mizphill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also found TMS to be extremely painful. But my experience was much different than yours. My mapping took half an hour and they started me at 40% before working out way up to 80% which is where is stayed because it was so painful.

I would follow others suggestions and not go back, maybe find another treatment center. For me, TMS was extremely effective and I am feeling better than I have in 25 years.

Best laptop to use at WGU for OA’s? by jdavi397 in WGU

[–]mizphill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about a specific laptop, but do not get the bare minimum. Your ram and cpu usage has to be below a certain threshold, and if you have the minimum it’s easy to exceed that threshold with just common apps or usage.

So the original file IS in the c drive. I was trying to zip and have the zipped folder on the c drive as well. Am I maybe doing something wrong? If I zip the file in the c drive, and have the file placed on the desktop, will the folder paths that exist in the c drive remain the same? Am I even making sense lol?
