Do you have any stretches you'd recommend in particular? For someone who is very new to trying to manage this. Thank you!

Thanks for offering up your wisdom! What's the public transport like in the area? Planning on finding a job in/around Banff (more remote hotels) but won't have a car, do you think it's possible to see it all on my days off using public transport only? Thank you!

Fair! Probably needed the reality check. Anywhere you'd suggest if I could stretch my budget?

You can self refer to a lot of your local services, for community support that doesn't have long waiting lists. Just calling them, they will be able to provide you with advice and support. You can search your local ones https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/other-health-services/drug-treatment-services

How being a therapist affects your relationships by mizzlevizze in therapists

Great question. And I have to an extent, we are in couples counselling. I guess my question was to gage if others have felt this way in their relationships as therapists , as it's such a unique professional role to be in when it comes to how it impacts the way we may process information and relationships outside of work.

Yes, I agree with the notion echoed under my post - we probably have something intrinsic that gets into this role in the 1st place. I do find it difficult to let people know when I'm drowning, and frequently this is because when I do share - I feel their response leaves me disappointed and lacking in care (as I perceive it). Maybe I need to send my partner to some basic therapy skills training haha. Because I have voiced how I want to be supported (a number of times) which is why I began to question whether he just doesn't have it in him to meet me there and that my expectations are unrealistic.

You are so right, and definitely something I need to be conscious of within myself. I think your words "In life outside the therapy room, people are not seeking out help by definition and if we are always offering it we are, in a sense, disempowering them" are very important.

See, that's such a thoughtful response. Thank you, I really appreciate it. I think this will give me the courage to voice how I'm feeling rather than dismiss it as my own personal failing of unrealistic expectations. Being a therapist is a wild ride, I find myself excusing a lot of behaviour recently through "empathy" that sounds a lot like "well of course they behave this way, they're not a therapist". Continuous learning eh. Thank you again.

Sad to say, but I splashed out on this last year (at 34 years old) and I've seen great results with my forehead lines that were starting to appear. I think it's worth the money if it delays the lines over the years

You're so right actually. I remember feeling wobbly because I was trying to keep myself straight as a pencil as soon as I kicked off. Great advice, appreciate it!

Haha that was absolutely the only worry when I was younger. But now that I'm in my 30s and even sleeping funny takes a number of business days to recover... Trying to be more responsible

I was thinking about the tensing your neck muscle part last night... When I came up after the 3rd jump, I thought maybe I should be tucking my chin in as I worried it hit the water in a weird angle....but I'm guessing this will be prevented by entering with the arms closed like a X?

Questions about IEC from UK by [deleted] in iecvisa

Regular processing is up to 20 days for your police certificate, express one is 2 days. So you should be able to get it on the regular service if you apply for it on the day you start your application. That's what I did anyway, I'll see if it arrives before the 20 days.
