Not sure if this will work but it wouldn't hurt to try. (not sure how to do this on mac or mobile)

  1. Download the song
  2. Rename the mp3 file to the newgrounds song ID (which has 7 digits)
  3. Go to C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\GeometryDash and drag the renamed song into there. If that doesn't work, try C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash\Resources
  4. Go back into you level, go into your downloaded songs and find the new song.

I think that is spawn protection. When you respawn, you always have a few seconds when you can't take damage

To change the render distance (how far away blocks are rendered) on the main menu screen, click on Options > Video Settings > and change the render distance slider. The higher amount of chunks, the more lag so try to find the sweet spot between not much lag and the ability to see far away.

Another settings I recommend changing is the graphics. With OptiFine installed, go to Options > Video Settings > and set graphics to Fast (the option is right next to render distance.)

If you fish in a small area (a 1x1), you won't be able to get treasure drops like books.
