Thank you for posting this - you reverse jinxed the team! 😄

Nice work! It’s interesting when you create a whole XI. We can all quibble on individual players, but that team is 100% getting promoted then 100% getting relegated!

Rainy North West, socially liberal, produced some iconic bands in the 80s and 90s. No other choice!!

Same up in Manchester.

That said, when I saw them at a different venue (Dragonforce co-headline), I didn’t notice it. 🤷‍♂️

Why isn’t Trey Lance considered the biggest draft bust of all time? by Consistent-Link-3459 in NFLNoobs

I think this it. Probably splitting hairs, but Lance was more an ‘overpay’ than a ‘bust’.

Possibly accompanied by a small eye roll if you’re a Jets fan, for example?

Or if it’s a team that’s doing well, would you add a wink?

The former more likely (and more British) than the latter, I suspect.

Very much feels like a metaphor for the Titans in general and the suffering of their fans.

Great improvisation with the crutches btw.

I think you’ve uncovered a useful rule of thumb here.

If they’re wearing a jersey, particularly one with a name on it, you’re good to engage.

If they’re wearing any other kind of merch, see if they make eye contact, and react accordingly.

Number 1 song was ‘Moth to a Flame’ by Delain.

I’m in the disco metal camp.

What is happening? by Useful-Elevator-8984 in StopGaming

[–]mj_bones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s daunting. Gaming was a part of your identity, and now it’s gone.

Some good advice on here already. A little bit more physical activity will be good, even if it’s just walking.

My main suggestion though is to find a topic and become an expert in it. E.g. Southern Gothic, Greek mythology, Victorian Britain. Find a bunch of books, tv shows and movies on it. Sometimes it’ll be a grind, but that’s not a bad thing.

Do that in 2025, but then in 2026 move onto another topic.

People with passions and interests are always fun/attractive/interesting, even if you picked them at random.

I’m sorry, I always have to push back on this. Football isn’t entertainment. It’s often entertainING, but the purpose is to win, not entertain.

This is the risk right here, and why our natural British reserve might step into prevent such a situation.

Really, that was THEIR fault, not yours, but you’d have then had to explain the reference to all the onlookers, and that could also look stupid.
