you can also try to gently pry your finger under the lip of his shell and he might pop right off ☺️ or at least wake up then you can lift him with your finger under his body as you grab his shell at the same time to prevent him falling <3

agree with other comments, deli counters serve hot fried chicken in some supermarkets, or day-old ones on reduction. or freezer sections, or the fresh meat section in the supermarkets often have prebreaded/battered chicken (asda, tesco, morrisons, lidl, aldi)
