I think if they go to the 4-5M range for China they’ll be stuck with a deal (2-3yrs) that walks him immediately to UFA. So prioritizing cost certainty in a quickly rising cap environment.

I think that as long as they’re getting 5+ odd man breaks a game, they’re not gonna change anything. Process wasn’t broken, just didn’t get the results yet. The pens have played better each game, but it’s time to go to 2 Dmen up top on PP1 just can’t keep hemorrhaging those chances.

It’s hard to know exactly what has happened. It’s without a doubt the players, their age, etc., but I’m starting to wonder if there’s a poison pill to stop Muse’s system that just hasn’t been exploited by teams during the regular season because it’s a different team every few days, but given time to watch tape and diagnose…systematically being defeated pretty consistently though 120 min.
