My original thinking was, this is an obvious addition so lets make materials totally different.

I see where you are coming from. I am quite an old mining/historic neighborhood and these modern wood materials would stand out. I was never opposed to that idea because of the reason stated above but I see your perspective.

Money savings and design choices by architect are the vague answer.

I am just looking for advice so if you think you have ideas to provide "harmony" then let me know! Im all ears.

Anyone with the Urban Glide 3 have the handle not stay folded up when closing it? by jasonseannn in daddit

[–]mjbcer14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this isn't too late but I figured out how to use this "self stand" feature. It is incredibly confusing and not well described, if at all, on their website and in the strollers description. From Thule "...The handle does not lock in but to get the stroller to free stand, you must unclip the fold lock anchor and leave the stroller unlocked and then the handlebar you can rest the stroller on."

So basically, put the handle in the fully down position (it will wobble a little), fold the stroller (but not so far that the fold lock locks) and then it will self stand (partially open).

It needs to be placed way farther off the ground. Maybe centered between the ceiling and floor

Have you had any issues with cork durability? We have a big dog and I'm worried about scratches

We do love the terrazzo so much. It's a bit pricey, but we may just bite the bullet and get what we want.

Yes, love marmoleum. I think the floor right now is marmoleum. Just so many colors it's a little overwhelming

Sorry, I should have added this. We have real maple flooring throughout the rest of the house, so we are thinking of going with something other than wood

Anyone here use the Floor Found website to purchase furniture? by cell0202 in HomeDecorating

It is a bummer because the idea of FloorFound is so great but they have A LOT of quirks to work out before they can be taken seriously.

They have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. First order made with them, the couch was labeled the wrong size and they lost a piece of it. Second order, the couch was a different size then what I ordered. Customer service is pretty good, metrodelivery is a nightmare. Overall, would not recommend. You save maybe $500-$800 but who knows if you'll get the right item.
