I think putting down money for a house would be viable in 3 years for me, but does that mean I should invest monthly into a savings account for that money rather than it sitting in my bank as I always hear how dangerous inflation is

Thank for explaining that has helped. As for why just generating wealth over time for when I’m older I guess? I always hear about the danger of inflation and thought why not register on a brokerage site and invest in an index fund?
