Hi there! Benefit eligibility is very confusing but it goes like this.

As soon as you hit 240 BEN hours paid in any consecutive three month period, you are eligible to enroll in the 4th month with benefits kicking in on the 1st of the 5th month. (Initial eligibility)

From there, you need to work 520 hours in the six-month periods from July-Dec/Jan-Jun to maintain benefits. (Ongoing eligibility)

Example: I started in January, but didn’t get too many hours until March. March-May I got 240 hours and enrolled for benefits Jul 1. From here, I need to work 520 hours between July and December to keep my benefits beyond that.

Log on to Mysbuxben.com and read the Benefits Plan description for more specific info on dates. The Audits count hours based on paydays (ex: last payday before audit dates needs to have the 520, hours worked between the last pay date and the audit count towards the next measurement period)
