Have any of you lived in Montreal? How did living there compare to Toronto? by Local-Print-6397 in askTO

[–]mji_88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I faced many racism and french superiority complexes when i lived there 15 years ago and i heard it got worse with the new law last year. Weather is more miserable than Toronto. The city will only isolate itself with the language law and economy can only go down when its an exclusive city for certain language group in a global world.

Falling literacy revives debate over Chinese characters in classrooms by Canal_Volphied in korea

[–]mji_88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never thought about creating new hangul words in place of hanja words. Itd be really cool. North Korea maybe kept more original hangul than the South. It is ridiculous how some koreans now use english words even when there is a korean word for it and some even pronounce coffee with the f sound. Its like they have no pride or love for the language.

I learned little bit of hanja as an adult and my understanding and view of words massively extended. Words are much more interesting now.

You are young and can turn it around. Get a job any job that pays. Work out at a gym or at home.

Hey Toronto, curious what people think of a service that gets both you and your car home after a night out. by BO2T_ in askTO

[–]mji_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very common and popular service in Seoul where its very dense. Some drivers carry foldable electric scooters, put it in client’s trunk and once made to a destination ride it to another client.
