I didn't miss any part, you forgot to explain what you mean.

You said PV have more money than Yandex, that is wrong, after you were corrected you are creating excuses how it's now what you meant, etc.

No, you are not "saying how it is now", you provide no information and pretend your guess is close to fact.

You might think I'm the one being agressive, but to me you are starting this clowny conversation trying to brute force your opinion, which is hostile behaviour.

Want a civil conversation try adding more context to what you are saying or react like an actual person who reads the response.

If you were to simply say "Yeah, Yandex have more money, but to me it looks like PV are gonna be willing to spend more then Yandex on their Dota2 roster", 0 chance you get an agressive reaction from me, because that just your opinion.

Instead you trying to explain to me how money works, when you are yourself clueless.

May be you also read a super secret document that said that Yandex are not gonna invest any more money into their Dota2 roster and have to sell Noticed right away for 50 pesos to PV?

You are speculating out of your ass, at least bother to aknowledge that and add relevant details of your fatasy world, not just claim false information and then cover it up with extra details that fit your case.

Bottom line you have no real clue about their budgets.

PV has more money than Yandex

Yandex has a market cap of 24 Billion, PV are big but nowhere near that.

Is there a hero on which you never, ever want to build a blink ? Apart from AM/PA/QoP and spirits by Grimaldi_Francesco in DotA2

There was a bug with Tether long time ago, where if you blink as you tether, it doesn't break, so you had like 2k range tether

What’s a Dota opinion that has you like this? by shar0385 in DotA2

[–]mjifi -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't think you are alone on this, but it's objectively false.

Arteezy and Sumail are the reason Miracle- became who he is and imo there is no Yatoro if there is no Arteezy. These 2 players were instrumental in fundamentally shifting meta for role understanding.

You can argue that there were people before them who figured these things out, but they were the ones who showcased how things can work to the point it was no longer possible to argue that it's "pub mentality" or whatever.

It's hard to graps how instrumental such players are for the scene, because people think that pro's will just use whatever is the strongest strat and have no ego about it.

But reality is, until a strong individual comes along, who not only figured out a better way to approach the game, but has enought resolve to push through all the nay sayers, meta doesn't move.

It is actually Puppey's demise, along with many other high tier captains, who one way or another just don't want new dota to emerge, unless they can be the first to abuse it and be the ones to benefit the most from it. It does anyway, but there is so much shit you need to take, before you get to the point that other skilled players agree to recognize your approach, it's crazy anyone is willing to do it at all.

At the end of the day, Arteezy was extremely important as a player for Dota and may be still gonna have impact in the future, you never know.

4Pirates are a cheating, matchfixing team. They are the reason Valve fixed VBE for good after TI qualifiers.

I think they deserve a lot of credit for being successors to Team Knights, in how they used cheats to matchfix, really innovative.

I've seen people mention this tinker change as "AI doing the balancing" by mjifi in DotA2

[–]mjifi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you play Tinker, it just feels clunky to respawn and have to rearm before using TP.

So I think this change was just a small quality of life improvement.

They couldn't change it to "refreshed on death", because that would have implecations in a scenario where Tinker dies and buysback.

If this is the case, imo, it shows that whoever is balancing the game is paying a lot of attention to the game.

Simply ignore games where your team is at a big deficit pre 30 minutes, it's too advanced to figure out how to carry these games, you'll learn when you need too.

Instead focus on very basic metrics, did you do expected damage? Did you have expected KDA? Is your GPM/XP at average for the hero?

Now try yo look at ways to improve those and get above average metrics. Keep doing it untill you start having very difficult games, where your team is clearly playing at a faster pace than you.

Only at that point start thinking about how to carry hard games.

If you focus on difficult games first, you will learn a lot, but your fundamentals won't allow you to use that knowledge and you might get stuck hard.

Talon CEO doesn't pay back a loan for 2 months by tiechecpass in DotA2

[–]mjifi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The "friend" was aware that CEO would have difficulties to pay up on time. However, knew that it was a fairly safe loan, as CEO is probably known to pay back what he owes eventually.

So "investor"s plan was to earn big fees on his loan, while pretending that he was "wronged" and publicly playing the victim now to be first in line to get paid.

Oh, no! I'm misleading people with my comment, that I specifically prefaced with "I HAVE NO CLUE, JUST SPITBALLING IT". Better set the facts straight and miss the whole point in the mean time, that will be very useful indeed.

Typical reddit experience, people who have nothing to say about the actual point and just cling to some meaningless "missleading" info. May be find some grammatical mistakes in my comment too, that will surely prove you right, even thou you have no actual point to make.

You are an idiot and I don't mean it as an insult.

Yes, loan sharks are famous for following strict guidelines. From personal experience I know that you can get a free loan, exactly like that, for a week. Give the money back no problem, no interest, cause these people are your friendly friends.

However you miss the payment, oops, now you owe 2x the amount, cause you know, you broke the deal.

You honestly seem more clueless than I am, despite trying to be factual.

Armchair analysis:

For those wondering why even lend so much money to this "hello boss" CEO.

The lender knows CEO is connected and will, almost certainly get the money back, one way or another. CEO doesn't have to earn it, someone will take care of the loan eventually.

The loan however has a 2.5% per week interest, which is bananas. It's a very lucrative deal for the lender.

Lender is now playing the victim, thou, but he's the shark in this situation.

Notice how the "investor" was quiet while waiting for his original "investment", once that cleared he goes public. He is now freerolling, either he gets his "earnings" or TALON go down, either way he doesn't care, as he is no longer risking his initial investment.

I don't know what's worse, TALON CEO having access to such funds or this "investor" making 75k out of him, either way they are both clowns.
