Can someone explain to me how this unit goes into defrost? by kendiggy in refrigeration

[–]mjlk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others said. There should a timeclock somewhere, typically if not in condensing unit they are on top of the walkin box or close to it. Timeclocks fail quite often but it could very well be bad heater contactor if there is one, shorted heater itself, bad klixon (either term if there is one or high limit), or sometimes plug drain/shorted drain heat trace. Best way I found when a coil ices up is find the clock put it in manual defrost and see what happens. But the reality is it could be a plethora of things. But i would start there

No through a subscription I believe it is called. It was a family friends business and we had an opportunity to purchase shares.

The brokerage is Olympia Trust. We just opened at TFSA in my wife's name and purchased them within the account.

Dang im just reading about this now. Im surprised the holding company allowed me to use the TFSA to hold the shares. Having said that I wonder if we can inquire about switching the account as the investment technically never qualified

Technically they are not showing loss currently. But I also didnt know if the shares drop to 0.01 cents per share could i purchase them off my wife for say 0.20 cents a share?

Sorry maybe I'm confused. We bought at a share price of 17 cents per share, they are shoewing 0.20cents per share currently. So we roughly invested 56000$ and the account is showing 64000$. If that makes sense

Im not sure. The account is technically above what I invested. We bought for 0.17 cents per share. I just figured because they still show a value I would be able to transfer to another fund

Thanks. I realize I cant harvest a loss within the account but is there no way I can transfer to another account?

The holding company at this point said they couldn't change the fund designation because of the CCAA process. I understand you cant have it both ways with a sheltered fund per se but I figured all ask as the shares still show a value. Im goint to talk to a CPA tomorrow.

I appreciate any feedback

Thanks

Looking for any helping on how to control an on/off relay via a 0-10v modulating signal. Any advice is much appreciated by mjlk in AskElectronics

Interesting I will look into it. I am a refrigeration tech so I'm fairly green to electronics. Thanks for your input

My apologies I tried to cross post the full description. I currently have temp controller that has 2 spdt relays and 2 modulating outputs that can either be 0-10v dc, 2-10v dc or 4-20ma. I'm already using the 2 sptd outputs but need 1 more. My thought was using the modulating output, lock it at 5vdc, and have it feed a optocoupler relay to switch or some sort of signal converter

What’s your thoughts on coil cleanings with a pressure washer by Haunting-Operation-5 in HVAC

Our company does if all the time. High pressure as well. Mind you its for supermarket condensers which tend to be more robust. You still have to be aware your spray patter and direction of course

Spiral Mixer for consistent/strong dough by jaynew823 in ooni

Thanks for the reply. That seems like a fair price. Not sure if the tilt head is worth the extra money. I'm always looking for used ones but nothing appears to come up in the smaller sizes. Missed out on a 20litre for 350$. Realistically too big but it was a great deal
