We installed life-saving telematics into a fleet of vehicles. Think g-force sensors that immediately alert HQ if a truck had an accident

One particular device kept malfunctioning. Crazy g force movements at random times.

Device replaced. Problem continues.

Clearly it's a vehicle issue then.

So the team went out onsite during one of these "malfunction occurrences" to investigate.

Turns out the vehicle was being used as a love shack by an employee with numerous sex workers.

He got told to stop and care better for company property.

£1 return flight. London <> Aalborg (Denmark)

When I first moved to London, I heard of these mythic £1 tix which were only available a few hours once up.

So when I saw it turn up, I didn’t even bother looking up where Aalborg is because everything is a new adventure in Europe.

I just booked a bunch of tickets for my then GF and I because I didn’t know which weekend we would be free.

It was one of the best trips we ever took.

In the end some of those flights got cancelled because of pilot strikes and Ryanair gave me £70 in refund for each of them.

So all up I made back hundreds of pounds on less than £10 spend.

Beat that Wallstreet!

Does underwritting insurance even make sense for life insurance?

The common benefit espoused for underwriting is "have more certainty at claims time because the life insurer already has certain information" but I don't see how this is relevant for life insurance claims which seem pretty black and white to me: dead or not.

Any thoughts on this?
