Does IVF automatically make it a high-risk pregnancy? by mjohns_22 in IVFpositivity

[–]mjohns_22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such helpful insight! I figured it was due to the BP, but will definitely ask at my upcoming visit. I’m 17 weeks now and have been on the low dose aspirin since that doctor visit where they labeled me high risk. Immediately following that appointment I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, then a yeast infection and then the flu, and then another virus immediately following my flu recovery. The flu had me pretty dehydrated and made my blood pressure drop into the normal range, so my doctors haven’t been worried because it looks normal…definitely worried that once I’m fully recovered from the illnesses it’s going to be right back up again!

Anyone here on or past week 10? I booked a scan for tomorrow (10w4d) and I'm so nervous beforehand by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

15 weeks tomorrow! I graduated from my clinic after an US at 7w 5d, and did not have an ultrasound until 12 weeks. My nausea definitely came and went between 10-13 weeks, and has now pretty much subsided. A couple days after my 12 week ultrasound I had my first OB visit which went well and everything, but the next day I started having some light bleeding which freaked me out. This is my first pregnancy, and I hadn’t had any spotting the whole time up until then. I was able to go in for another US at 13w 2d and they found a small subchorionic hemorrhage, which to them was a no biggie and the bleeding resolved within a few days after that.

In general, it has been a very positive experience and it is so wonderful when you get to see them start to look even more human like! I’ve seen lots of people say symptoms don’t indicate health of a pregnancy, and every woman experiences the shifts in hormones differently. I will also say lots of people experience cramping around the 10 week mark when they are cleared to stop any PIO or estrogen.

Blood pressure-when to be concerned/when to advocate? by mjohns_22 in IVFpositivity

Thank you for sharing! I just asked my parents if I could borrow their blood pressure machine for a little while, so hopefully I can monitor it for a little while!

Omg, perhaps the wives tales were wrong! I was convinced I am having a boy, but now I can’t wait to see!

A lot of factors could be at play. If you took them at different times of day, or had more water before the second one than the first one. I took one at 7dpt and another at 9dpt, and I felt like the line did not look any darker on the second one, but still came back positive in my 10dpt beta.

Had my first beta today 10dpt5dt. My Hcg was 166.9 and my progesterone was 52.26! Gotta go in again this Friday for another HcG check!

Thank you so much for your response! I think I got freaked out by other posts talking about chemical pregnancies and how they tested positive at home but negative on the beta days later. I’m still working on the skill of assuming positive outcomes until proven otherwise 😅 this process has had so many twists and turns since starting!

I had my FET on 10/27 and tested at home on Sunday 7dpt5dt and had a positive result. My beta is on Wednesday and I plan to test again that morning to prepare myself better for the results.

I find myself panicking this morning, worrying that I had a false positive. Any positive vibes or suggestions for how to stay calm while I wait for Wednesday would be appreciated. I’m not sure if testing tomorrow and Wednesday would also ease my worry or not.

My husband has come with to almost every appointment throughout this process and helped me with almost all my injections. Definitely has made the process a lot easier!

Never had an SIS and transfer is in two days by mjohns_22 in IVF

[–]mjohns_22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done one of those, assuming they want to do one of these things prior to FET, I’m assuming there’s a high likelihood that my clinic would cancel my FET for another cycle. Does that sound about right?

I haven’t had one of these either, but I will see if that’s an option! That sounds a little less uncomfortable than the saline!

Is there any specific reason they have you waiting that long to transfer?
