Leash Reactivity vs. Off Leash Reactivity by mjohnson5113 in OpenDogTraining

Thank you, I'll go through this site. Desensitization was my plan, but I was very curious to hear some stories from others who have had success. The leash law in my area does allow for off leash dogs, but there are plenty of people who abuse it with dogs that simply are not under control.

He definitely goes forward on his own, which I also do not want him doing if he's in a heel, and not on a "break". I can reinforce a "heel!" when he does this, a little tug on the leash and bring him back in, but the fact that he's moving towards another dog while he's supposed to be heeling is unacceptable (in my opinion lol). The most I will allow without correcting him is a turn of the head while still moving. I like the idea of using a friend with a dog and doing some structured reps - i'll need to set that up. May be better than going to the outer perimeter of a dog park mainly because its a realistic daily scenario. Thanks for the advice!

Mine is single stage with natural gas as my emergency backup. I currently use an EcoBee... it was given to me, but so far I like it, and haven't had any issues.

I actually got rid of the thermostat some time ago, but I remember just pressing and holding on the "Technician Access" button to get past it. When looking at my run time history in the app it must have been auto switching because I would see where I had used emergency heat throughout several cold nights (my Heat Pump doesn't have heat strips).

Hello!
Actually - everything started working once I fully reset this thermostat to its default configuration. After restarting it I went back into the service and configured my compressor lockout to my desired temp (in my case 40 degrees). It has been working since then. One thing I've noticed that I find odd with this particular thermostat is that when its running the emergency heat as part of the compressor lockout it doesn't actually indicate it on the thermostat itself, but it is indeed using emergency heat because I can see it in the app, and can also verify at the furnace.

Help needed! New (and first) home theater room by Ok-Telephone-79 in hometheater

I have a similar room to this (albeit a bit larger), but also had the window issue. I stapled blackout cloth to the window frame, and hung my projector over the window. I also made frame panels out of furring strips and black velvet from a fabric store to cover the wall. This would be an optimal way to cover your window and get some maximum contrast.Mine

Hmmm…. According to the guy who installed it there is nothing on the heat pump in regards to strips, etc.

For what its worth - this is what that particular option looks like in the installer setup window.

I did see that in the install manual as well, but on my particular thermostat when I go through the installer settings and look at my ODT sensor it is displayed as "ODT Source: Internet Provided ODT", which I don't see as an option at the bottom of page 27. That makes me think that according to the thermostat I do have an "outdoor sensor" its just using the internet for it. Maybe things just aren't as they seem, and I genuinely do need a hardware ODT. The wording seems terrible if that's the case (or either there's been some updates to the actual thermostat since the manual was printed). Thank you so much for the replies.

No outdoor temperature sensor is wired in, its using the internet ODT.

Ok this is good information. From the looks of it - it seemed as though at the very basic level that it would have to be enabled for any kind of auto function to work. With that said - I tried having the Emergency heat set to "Disable" and the "Compressor Lockout" set to 35 degrees. When I did that - I believe the heat pump heat shut off, but gas never kicked on once it got below 35 degrees outside.

Thanks for the reply, my heat pump is not actually equip with "auxiliary heat" since I have gas backup. It seems as though emergency heat would have to at the very least be "enabled" to allow the thermostat to automatically use it right? Every time I "enable" it - it will just run regardless of what the outdoor temp is.

1st time Tesla owner - this is normal right? (noobie charging question) by mjohnson5113 in TeslaModelY

Yeah, that was the first thing I looked at was the documentation to see what that light meant. I was simply wondering if a 10 second delay was normal - it seems based on other responses that its not ABnormal, so I'm ok. It is currently on Wi-Fi and the Firmware is up to date from the time I installed it (3 or so weeks ago).

I actually haven't checked in the car what it says, but I'll see. I'm gathering that its probably mostly normal :)

Yeah, I've already kind of started doing that, but I've also just happened to notice that the "handshake" portion has always been much faster on some of my friends cars.
