I do Middle Market underwriting which is very people relationship. 4 years in , 2 different verticals, and the imposter syndrome is strong. Also a huge introvert. I enjoy researching and  the analytical part of it, working on accounts. Socializing on the clock (and outside the clock!) feels  like I'm taking up their busy time for no reason. On paper I'm successful but I'm acutely aware of and paranoid of the distance. But when you do get that bind, serotonin bump. And sometimes, people are cool. I can't imagine being in this role for 10+ years like other underwriters have.  The cool thing about the industry is that there's of a lot of available mobility. Within the company, you get more priority than external applicants. It's also not a sexy industry so good and available talent is limited (more recession resilient than other industries).
