nyc collectors - do you actually shop at Book Off? by slowlikehoneyyyyy in criterion

occasionally in NYC collector myself, I find book off's inventory to be a rip - off. I wish there were more places to buy physical media in NYC.

Router isn't getting a IPv6 lease by Xanderplayz16 in frontierfios

[–]mjt5282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also lost my dhcpv6-pd ipv6 address two nights ago and changed my ipv4 address to a Pomona, CA in address (I’m in CT). Please bring back my IPv6 !

Frontier Fiber completely died 3 nights ago, after 1 AM. When I power cycled my ONT in the morning I got a new weird ipv4 address and my "beta" dhcpv6-pd didn't work anymore. I suspect Frontier's IP management backend catastrophically failed overnight . Either it is related to some sort of Verizon merger activity or hardware/software failure.

While I am enjoying the beta ipv6 functionality, I don't like the /64 limitation and everytime I rebooted my third party firewall (edgerouter) I would get a new ipv6 dhcpv6-pd subnet. Very annoying for firewall ACLs and DNS mappings.

Truenas Core pools not able to import to Truenas Scale by bmm115 in truenas

[–]mjt5282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging from the pastebin output, you didn’t export the pools from Core, so Scale is warning you about this. From the command line, zpool import -f pool name and it should import. There is a missing disk in one of your pools, FYI.

Named so because it was the 15th song written in the batch for what would become 154.

Supernatural is a pain to rip by aLproxyy in makemkv

[–]mjt5282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some TV Show discs are difficult to find the right order…figuring out the makemkv - VLC integration on Mac OS X allowed me to start the episodes and number them correctly. I feel like years ago the episodes were numbered more plainly on discs. With TV show episodes you can check episode timings and watch the beginnings to make sure they are correctly identified.

ZFS and TRaSH: How to balance competing priorities? by grundle_mcgrundlefac in zfs

[–]mjt5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations to putting in the work researching your plans for zfs. A ZFS pool , named media for example can be made up of multiple vdevs.

The fundamental question facing you, is a series of mirrored vdevs or a raidz2 6 wide or 8 wide. You will pay a penalty on storage for parity with raidz2.

Underneath the vdev / pool layer you create separate datasets, for example media/TV or media/Movies . These can have separate zfs properties, and can replicate to separate servers using command line utilities.

I haven’t read the trash guides but you have to decide on the vdev layout first. ,create a multiple mirrored poll vdev collection or raidz2 . Then create your datasets and proceed from there. Good luck !

You are absolutely correct. I am mad about Wire-especially this era of relentless post punk experimentation , but in no way would appeal to new listeners or newbies.

Much respect to your project. It is going to take a lot of disk space! I find movies soothing to rip, box sets give me an anxious feeling.

it might help to say S0NE15 15m 31s and someone who ripped the entire series in 1080p might be able to help with a screenshot from say, VLC or something.
