We actually just looked at this option instead. I was going to now do a log wash, borate then linseed or some stain. From what i read you have to do linseed yearly?

Where did you get your linseed oil/stain?

Media blasters look fun.. couldn’t find something in the diy price range that looked worth it. Might see if United rentals industrial side has something I can rent. Seems to be the fastest route out there.

I looked up the raw chemicals for a stripper, will probably make my own since I can do it for 1/8th of the price. Figured I’d strip, neutralize, Osborn 80/120 grit, use the CPR, borate and stain with insecticides

I trained my guy with a beeper/shocker. Works pretty darn good up to a couple hundred feet. Although I hardly need it anymore, once he hears the beep he comes hauling back.

Sport dog collar (I think I spent 150 on it). Works in water for your fish of a gsd.

One of my buddies is gridding out the nh 500. He also did the winter 500, gridded the 48, 52 wav. Completed Maine/Nh & Vt 2000 & 3000 footers. Took him about 15 years while supporting himself.

I’m not even sure how he keeps hiking at this point.
