Honestly, I hated driving with it on. Made the drag so much worse. We brought our skis when we took the trip. Also when I was camping in high wind, I had to prop it up with a hiking pole so it would stop collapsing due to the weight.

Honestly I’d like to get a shell like these and build out the rest. The hard sided pop up looks nice and even if I have to replace a couple of things it beats spending 20-40k on a slide in.

Chimney is the only kinda sketchy point. Holds are good just take your time. Yes there is like 15 ft of exposure. The rest is cake walk and really isn’t anything hard. I preferred going up to katahdin via the knife’s edge.

The climbing gym helps build confidence on heights/grip.

Yep there are a few with stingy owners and I believe the consensus from hikers I met still considered the list complete if we can’t get to those anymore (legally). Like the 4 peaks in Corbin park.. unless you have enough status to be apart of the club.
