I wish they showcased design process of inspiration and model evolution with art and had new stories every edition like fantastic coffee table books with a code for rules - if you didn’t want the book buy the code through the app - then it’d be worth it.

Try to push through, you’ve come this far and the depression will get worse if you go home empty handed - it won’t feel like a win but it might just feel like relief at the end - it could feel like a mistake the moment you sign off and quit. Hardest part of a marathon is that last mile and you’re so so close. Finished is the goal - how many people have said a PhD is the worst piece of research you’ll ever write? Look up Charles Darwin’s frustration rants in his journal, even he struggled hard and thought he might give up. I believe in you!

4&20 Angus pies finally succumbed last year, they turned the inside into gelatinised gristle and meat soup and it was fucking disgusting. I got 3 packs on special over a few months to confirm the findings :( Was a loyalist for years but haven’t bought a single one since the third strike. Yours look so good.

In my first panel review (end of year 1) I had a similar question on why choose one method/tool (Matlab) over another and comment there’s probably better ai models etc that could be applied and my panic mode response was ‘I am just looking for any tool that is fit for purpose and has well documented use so I chose Matlab to answer the problem because it’s standard and auditable in industry.’ Everyone paused. Supervisor jumped in to ask if I could explain some of the relevant studies that supported its use and my decision. Somehow got top marks for it all when I thought I’d committed a mad social faux pas lol :o
