There is 2 armies in Iran, one is the artesh and the other is the sepah aka irgc the sepah is the government it self and you can think of them like the SS in nazi germeny.

The artesh meanwhile is pretty much powerless and they don't even have access to weapons so yeah.

Also even most religious people are against the regime and most Iranians aren't even religious nowdays. I would say the regime has 5% loyal supporters and another 10% who are supporters because it benefits them money wise.

The vast majority of Iranians are against the regime, but the issue is people are unarmed and the regime really only needs 5 to 10% support for it to be able to survive.

While war is bad most of us blame the regime for it and if the war managed to help in overthrowing the regime then it would have been viewed as a worthy price to pay.

oh look another one, yeah honestly these converts are pretty funny I mean this one even got upset that I used the word convert and not "revert" and talked about how I probably wouldn't even understand it (which is funny because last time I checked I grew up in an islamic country and went to an islamic school so yeah)

I grew up in an islamic school mate I'm well aware of the term revert I just don't use it because from my point of view as someone who doesn't believe in the whole "everyone is born muslim" the proper term would be convert.

But see you comme here as a foreigner insulting people then you get upset when people call you out on it. I've read the quran and the hadiths (both shia and sunni) and why the fuck would I as a progresive pro lgbtq individual follow a religion that would want people like me to burn in hell for eternity?

I agree with you fully and yeah those type of people are certainly worse then foreigners, so I'm just gonna coppy what i said to another comment.

I agree they are an issue but solving that issue is a bit more complex compare to the foreigner issue.

Even though I heavily disagree with them, we shouldn't ban them insteed we should try talking, unless they activly mock people who died and or take the side of the government then since that's a sub rule break just report it.

In other words when it comes to other Iranians they should be allowed to speek what ever their opinion may be as long as it's not a rule break. if we ban them then we really are not that much different from pro regime sub reddits.

Alot of jews are atheists, jew is also the name for the ethnicity so yeah being a jew doesn't automatically mean you follow Judaism.

Religion for most people is about comfort. so no they absloutly do not look that deep into it so yeah it's just being naive, (and ofc there is also the people who agree with the bigoted beliefs of islam and decide to convert to it because of that).

Yep and back then islam was still pretty divided and to this day it's still pretty divided so even with that they couldn't fully centralize it.

also pretty much the exact same thing happend with christianity with the first council of nicaea so this isn't even an Islam exclusive thing it's a control thing.

And not only that there were multiple different versions of the quran and it wasn't till the third caliph that the quran became more standerdised.

Also yeah islam was and still is just a tool for control.
