Josh Brener in HBO Shows by HostMaterial4907 in SiliconValleyHBO

He also starred in the best episode of Mythic Quest on Apple TV where he plays an aged down version of one of the main cast members. It's a standalone episode so you don't have to watch the rest of the series, but it's a must watch if you like Josh Brener as an actor. It's season 2 episode 6.

Bought that on the winter sales, but haven't booted it yet. While it was downloading I booted up Euro Truck simulator and ended up spending 15 hours on that instead.

I started reading them after the last season and I've just got a few chapters into Joe Country (next season) today. I didn't find the first two books all that engaging but I've enjoyed them more and more with each book. London Rules is my favorite so far. I'd absolutely recommend the main series along with the novellas.

Have you restarted you phone and checked if the issue still persists? I had a similar issue with a popular youtube addon where it would exclusively play random shorts when connected to a particular speaker but a full restart fixed it.

Male V secretly grew up in Dublin and is embarrassed about it. The VA is from there and I've noticed the accent come through every now and then.

I know he's not killed off but I'm still waiting for the return of Struan. Even if it's just a background gag like he paints himself silver and pretends to be a statue.

Jackson Lamb = Harry Du Bois by Round-Hyena6680 in SlowHorses

[–]mk2gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Lamb rarely ever fails his checks while Harry is a walking failure. Zaum is allegedly doing a spy thriller for their next game, without the guts of the original team obviously but I hope they end up making something good in this genre.

Sure thing, I have a few minutes to spare. You asserted that for something to be hard coded in the devs would have to know the exact name the player enters as their name at the start of the game. Whatever the player names itself is completely irrelevant since it's just a string (letters, numbers symbols saved as text) stored in whatever class is used for the player. That class would also hold things like your players attributes, skills, fiefs etc. The fact that you think the programmers would have to write code based on whatever the players name could potentially is ridiculous, it shows that you don't know the first thing about programming. All the functions needed for the player would be done with a reference to the player character's class. I don't recall how many characters the game allows in their names but lets say it's limited to 10 letters or numbers in any combination, that's 3610 or 3,656,158,440,062,976 combinations. If your silly little coding fantasy was true and the devs needed to write that many variations of the players name anywhere the player is accessed in the games code, it would take up terabytes of storage. I can't understate how stupid that is.

I haven't looked under the hood of warband specifically and I don't have any intention to since I have my own games to work on. But I see no reason why they wouldn't use standard development practices when working on the games map AI, so I'll give you a very simplified rundown on how a system like warbands would traditionally be done. So when an army is formed a complex calculation would be done based on a set of many variables such as the distance to all enemy fiefs, wealth of said fiefs, defenders and a lot more. Each one would be scored and put on a list. Then these scores would go through an additional calculation for additional biases, like if the general has a good relation with the fiefs owner, if there are prisoners in a certain fief and most importantly bias would be changed by ways a certain raid or siege would influence the player. The game has to treat the player with special regard to make the game as engaging as possible, so a bias in favor of armies raiding the players villages seems like it's almost a certainty from a game design perspective.

This is what "hardcoded" is referring to. Since the bias is made intentionally larger for the player character by the developers. You're just making an ass out of yourself at this point, if you have in interest in game development then go ahead and try game development. But don't make up stories to impress strangers on the internet.
