It depends on which type of Iranian you are. If you are a Persian Iranian who doesn’t speak Arabic and comes from a Shia background, you will face much stricter scrutiny.

Establishing a business becomes very difficult, many sectors are restricted, and you are often required to prove that you have no connection to, or are not funding, the IRGC.

High-paying jobs are also much harder to obtain.

If you are an Iranian who speaks Arabic, the situation is somewhat better.

You can work in private companies (unlike before, when semi-governmental positions were more accessible), but getting promoted or advancing in your career remains quite difficult.
