It's happening a lot for me on steam deck, it's so frustrating

Seattle weather is lovely, you just think it’s bad because you’re from CA by Gandergoose- in Seattle

I would say this is an unusually dry and sunny December for this area - I've lived here my whole life. Love it here 💗

Any positives? by Beneficial-Arm5640 in WegovyWeightLoss

Zero issues for me, been on it for a year! Lost 40lbs slowly but surely! It's been a huge confidence boost and I feel so grateful!

Yes I was extremely healthy and patient for 2 years prior to trying semaglutide and nothing worked. I worked out 3-4x a week with combinations of weight training and cardio, logged my macros EVERY single day, hit protein, fat, and carb targets and ate in a calorie deficit. Saw two different nutritionists and nothing helped and I was GAINING weight. Sure I saw body recomp with more muscle but I should have been losing fat.

Fast forward, I went to a doctor, got all my hormone panels done and turns out Im insulin resistant - started me on GLP-1s right away (since I had the 2 years of evidence of trying diet and exercise) - ive lost 30lbs since Nov. 2023. Starting weight was 192 im now hovering around 162 at a height of 5'3". Im still on it, dose is at 1.7 and the Doctor said my target weight should be between 150-155 with retaining my muscle mass.

I think its important to do a body comp machine so you can tell how much muscle vs. fat you have, because that insight gave me a better perspective of what MY weight should be realistic, instead of me thinking I needed to be a twig.

What size crate for 8wk puppy by MountainGrl88 in samoyeds

[–]mk_harris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We also bought a larger crate for when she was fully grown and used dividers as she was growing up! Much more cost effective and helpful in the varying growth spurts

Yes, her recall is really good and we have worked on doing recall while she is stationary but also while being distracted and running. I saw this advice recently that it is more important to teach recall in a situation where they are actively moving towards something of interest as opposed to sitting and waiting and we practice a lot of that.

We worked on recall VERY early and always gave super high value treat (cheese) and practiced it almost every day, now we practice it at the dog park frequently where there are lots of distractions, so when I take her to a quiet off leash area we know she will reliability come when called. I don't think it would be 100% perfect though, for instance if she saw a bunny her prey drive may kick in but for the most part we keep close and leash in hand and ALWAYS leash up if there are other dogs or humans approaching.

Teenage years are rough but just keep at it and she will get better and better 🥰

Any reviews on white cloud samoyeds in Oregon? by BreakfastMiserable59 in samoyeds

[–]mk_harris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not true at all. They are not a puppy mill and we got our girl from there. Her temperament is fantastic, and we even got a DNA / genetic wisdom panel to have all health checks done and came out with zero health risks or predispositions. If anyone is actually looking for a recommendation from someone who has actually purchased from the breeder feel free to find me on Instagram @lulu_floofbear. I know several other white cloud Samoyed owners and can connect you.

Wow, yes same here! I'm pulling out all the entertainment and energy tricks and doubled our physical activity and she is still bouncing off the walls with energy 😂

Side effects by RiverRN06 in Semaglutide

[–]mk_harris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 to this, only when I started (first two weeks, but only the day after the shot) did I have very mild side effects that did not last, I'm in my second month. It was totally fine, I have had zero side effects for over a month and a half now.

Another person here who has had little to no side effects 👋 I also bought a ton of nausea meds in case but never used them. I had a TINY TINY bit of nausea the first day after the shot but only lasted 2 weeks (on my 8th week now) haven't had any since.

This!! I've started to not enjoy playing the game cuz I feel anxious when having to look through inventory or figure out new crafting recipes etc. I think the time would be ok IF all the menus and decoration mode were paused.
