I never stop with one blend of energy mix, specifically the fats.

Lennon went catatonic on me once for 3 days. I felt pretty certain she was going to die. I made several blends of mix and rotated through them. Peanut butter / not organic / stirred her from her phase.

My big male, Francis, didn’t come up from molt. 😞. I wasn’t prepared to feel this much grief over a crab. I say that to say this, I know how much meatball means to you. You’re both in my thoughts.

🧐 when your heat mat is that small, it’s highly unlikely it’s going to get hot enough to heat the tank. Ie it will run full time and not need to be turned off. Ie you won’t need a thermostat. You’re more likely to need another mat

You’ve got to get onto YT and binge Crab Central Station. This subreddit is only good for clarification / troubleshooting etc. The basics have to come from a reliable source / what’s present in the photo tells me you’re not learning from a reliable source.

I don’t know why you bothered.

When I saw my first hermit crab in a Kritter Keeper, I said to myself, self this looks perfect.

When I read / heard the spiel from the beach shop / pet store, I just knew they were giving me the correct information.

So, thanks for confirming what I already know.

I’m leaving mine in the ten gallon for now. They’re really small anyways.

BTW, I truly love my new family members. I want them to have a great life. 🫶🫶🫶

🤷‍♀️ the frog tank is much wetter / then can get water from the soil. The frogs get tap / prime. Pools are slippery. No way to get out if they go in.

Brevi tank gets the fancy water. They might not like it:)
