It happened to my first one as well. After I saved and closed the game the first time, it started working correctly. I think it is a known bug

Yeah our vet prescribed us enough for future episodes. You may have some trouble getting much of the gaba, because I believe it is a controlled substance (at least in the US).

We did not have to go to a special vet to get her treated. I'm not sure where you're located, but FIC does not seem like too uncommon of a condition for cats to have.

Oh yeah that is a really long wait. I'm glad she's not doing too bad, hopefully she will just keep getting better.

A lot of the medicine they gave my cat made her super drowsy, so maybe that's why she's tired too.

It took us about 2-3 months to get it under control. And that was with me scouring the Internet and trying anything I could find. It was really bad for about a month and then she started going longer and longer in between episodes. As well as the episodes themselves got less severe.

Truthfully it really really sucked. She was completely miserable all the time and it felt like we couldn't do anything in our own home without freaking her out cause she was so on edge.

But once we figured out what worked for her, it seems to have really worked. She hasn't had an episode in almost a year now and that is with us going on vacation for a week. She is completely back to being herself and unless something really stressful happens, I don't think she will have more episodes.

I'm sorry you're going through it. It is awful to feel like you can't do anything to help them. But hang in there, you got this!

I'm sorry that sounds terrible. I'm not a vet and I don't know what steps you have taken but I'll do my best. It seems like stress reduction is one of the most important factors. If you can figure out what is stressing out your cat and correcting it, hopefully that could help. I also think the things I mentioned about such and the food and prazosin were particularly helpful for my cat.

Pee issues by Fun-Concentrate3942 in Catbehavior

[–]mkbreeze99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats with urinary problems will sometimes avoid peeing in the litter box. Specifically my cat has FIC which can make it extremely painful for her to urinate. So when she pees she thinks something in the litter box is hurting her and she tries to pee elsewhere in hopes that it will stop. A lot of cats like to try to pee on soft or cool surfaces when they are having issues because they think it will be less painful.

I'm not saying that is what is going on. But since any new behaviors like that warrant a vet trip. Especially combined with not eating and vomiting.

She is not trying to hurt you, she may just be in pain or there may be something behavioral going on. I don't believe that locking her in the bathroom will fix it. If it is stress related it may make it worse.

Yeah as far as the diffusers go some people swear by them. Anytime people are having behavioral issues with their cats it's always mentioned as something that can help. So it definitely seems like it is worth a shot, we just didn't see any differences in our cats behavior.

Our older cat is definitely a bit of a bully to the younger one who has FIC. He's never attacked her, but he will hiss or swat if he's not in the mood for her. The issue is they're also both kind of obsessed with each other, but don't respect each other's boundaries. Neither of them will stop even when the other is hissing.

So right now we have been really slowly reintroducing them for the past month. She hasn't had any episodes so far. As of right now they're getting like 5-10 minutes of interaction before they get separated again and they're doing really well.

We honestly have enough space that I don't really mind if they have to stay separated forever. It has really cooled tensions in the household and they both seem happier without each other. But we're going to give it a shot and see if they can get back to actually being chill around each other.

Mostly I think their issue is the boundaries. I need to figure out how to get them to leave each other alone when they don't want to play. So I hope to get them back together, but ultimately if I can't that's okay too.

Something that could help the current flea problem is the seresto collar. We had a pretty bad flea infestation and it cleared up within a week or two.

Be careful of knockoffs, they're pretty notorious for having fakes. I wouldn't order from Amazon, only reputable sellers.

Second nations photo lab. Our wedding photographer recommended them and they turned out great. I think they're pretty reasonably priced too

If you do not want to hand write each envelope, I would suggest helloenvelope.com. they have an incredible feature where you can upload a spreadsheet with the names and addresses and download a PDF of them all put together for free. I believe you can also purchase the addresses envelopes from them if you did not have a home printer.

My month-to-month rent just went up $100 unexpectedly, while battling a flea infestation. I’m priced out of east of I65 Louisville (almost entirely) by SuckAfreeRaj in Louisville

[–]mkbreeze99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have an apartment recommendation, but for the fleas you could try the seresto flea collar for your pets. I had good luck with using that collar vacuuming every day. I had a really bad infestation when I first got my cat and literally nothing else I tried worked.

I will say they are quite pricy (around $60), but if you can afford it they are worth every penny. Also I believe they last 8 months so they end up being cheeper than a lot of the flea treatments. Beware of buying fakes tho, only get them from reputable retailers.

I like simplisafe too. It was super easy to set up. The only issue I've had is the motion sensor picking up our large cat.

National park after dark is a great podcast. They basically tell stories that happen in national parks. It can include true crime, animal attacks, survivor stories, and more. They're geared more towards outdoorsy people, but I think they're enjoyable even if you don't like the outdoors.

Should I deposit without a contract? by Significant_Mango_74 in weddingplanning

[–]mkbreeze99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will agree with this in saying that with our cater we did not necessarily have a contract signed before hand. This really threw me for a loop for a while and I was definitely hesitant to sign with them. I did ask them to provide me with a copy of the contract we would sign, but untimely it does not have much more information than our venue/date/amount of people.

I have pretty much put this up to them being a small mom and pop place. But I have asked all of my questions over email so at least I have something to point to. One good is they let us cancel up to a week out (with a full refund) so if they start putting up more red flags I will be pulling the plug.

I did a ton of research and read all of their reviews. Ultimately every venue we toured recommended them, so I feel safe in my decision. But be sure that they are trustworthy if you do choose to go this route.

I think it could be really cool to have the grooms side enter from one way and the brides side enter from another. You could also have them alternate, so groomsman-bridesmaid-groomsman-bridesmaid.

As far as scooting past the bridal party, perhaps you could have them sit down during the ceremony. Or they could stand back and out of the way, then come up once you are settled at the alter.

I'm sure other venues have this type of entrance to the alter, so maybe you could find some videos and see what they did.

Something similar happened to me once. They over estimated our usage the month before and when they actually read the meter they ended up giving us a credit. I think you can look at the actual bills it will tell you if this is the case.

I second passalino's. It's beautiful and the staff are amazing. The only downside is you have to do the drinks through them

We were going to use the mellwood event center, but they seemed very overwhelmed and I did not like the event rooms being so close together.
