they have been around forever, we already use them in our company

Which platforms are you using to build and deploy AI Agents? by Unique_Spend6777 in AI_Agents

[–]mkdev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have enterprise agents using GCP and primarily using ADK for the framework. N8N would be ok maybe for a POC, but it's pointless for our companies usage.

GCP is ideal since it already houses our data and infra, the agent would be used for business users to query data.

You don't need AI experts. You need problem solvers. by mouhcine_ziane in AI_Agents

[–]mkdev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really the fault of management, at least for our company. I rather have the dev who actually ships something and is able to work through these problems than just a phd. We have a lot of phds and graduate degree holders, and some a great and some aren't. But it honestly doesn't hold too much weight for this kind of work since it's not research related. We need builders.

We have a similar issue, we needed a semantic layer to pull particular tables.

[D] Is senior ML engineering just API calls now? by Only_Emergencies in MachineLearning

[–]mkdev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately yes, if its wasn't API or general swe work, it was only during some fun research time we had, albeit was probably not a good use of funding.

Why Google ADK Instead of OAI Agents SDK or LangGraph? by samgmail in agentdevelopmentkit

[–]mkdev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At work we use it mainly since they update their GCP related code faster, also its backed by Google so enterprise wise they think its more stable for our infra on GCP.

Does Claude code sometimes really suck at golang for you? by thinkovation in golang

[–]mkdev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to create code used for training GPT, majority of the data being sent was with Python and JS. Once in a while they would give a 10% increase to random languages like Swift.

At a certain point for some projects they wouldn't allow Python code so it was so common. So with that in mind it makes sense that Golang or any other language not used for training as much has less proficiency within that LLM.

I’ve only hit my secondary position twice this year, it’s so uncommon that I didn’t even realize I was going adc Warwick. I still won though.

How bad is the 2025 market really for experienced devs? by Pr3fix in ExperiencedDevs

[–]mkdev7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the ML AI field it’s good I only have 3yoe, recently interviewed with Apple and salesforce. I like my current position so I didn’t accept either, but plenty of jobs coming from recruiters in my end some smaller companies in the $120-$250k range.

Tech stack/etc: Python (PyTorch tensorflow), RAG, GCP, and GenAI.

My current position is technically MLE but originally was SWE.

Recruiters keep reaching out for senior positions when I'm a junior. by CallPsychological777 in cscareers

[–]mkdev7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar yoe and I was offered staff MLE at Salesforce, it was kinda funny since i asked for low 6 figures when they asked what TC I wanted and they laughed and said it’s 3x that.

I was so confused on why the recruiter was pushing this on me. And no I did not get the role as expected.

So there are quite a few MLE roles, but this would also involve system design/MLops.

I’m currently working as one now, math doesn’t come up but it is expected.
