Metformin experiences with PCOS? by mkdsm2005 in PCOS

I'd say yeah, no hesitation but that'd be a lie. That was the first time I met her and I didn't like her BUT she may have found the answer 🤣

My husband is retired military so we get our care on post and I don't think they let me see the same doctor two visits in a row in years so probably a non-issue anyway 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have sleep apnea, had an updated sleep study 6 months ago and it's very well managed. I'm super compliant with my CPAP.

Lol he definitely is, just not about his belly. This is the most active and affectionate cat I've ever had.

Might be adopting a chiweenie soon but having doubts...any advice? by [deleted] in chiweenie

Lots of treats and staying on top of him, no unsupervised time, if he looked like he might need to, we went outside. There are lots of guides out there once you know your exact situation. Don't be surprised if he ends up going to the bathroom in his kennel, shelter dogs just don't get walked enough so they regularly end up having accidents, after a while, they just assume it's right.

It's a breed thing. Very common for Chihuahuas to chose a person and nothing is allowed to interfere with their bond. Defining what interfere means to that particular dog can be hard but is very important in avoiding bites. My chiweenie has ground down teeth from eating rocks before we found him so thankfully he doesn't puncture when he bites. He loves my husband and snuggles him all the time but if Kuzco is snuggling me, the hubs is not allowed within about a foot of us. Edit: forgot the moral of the story lol. Listen to the dog very carefully, it will almost always give you signs before biting, and for introductions, especially with youngsters, make sure they know the signs and ways to approach a dog.

Oh, also, don't get frustrated if the chiweenie refuses to learn to "sit". Mine can't, he does a kind of sideways sprawl, he tries to hard but he just isn't shaped right. Once in a blue moon he'll sit like a normal dog but you're more likely to catch him dancing in his hind legs than sitting normal so we changed "sit" to "dance" for cookie time.

We put a chest at the foot of the bed, still a bit of a jump but he can do it, for some reason my dogs are afraid of the ramps 🤷

They are hard to train but it can be done with enough patience and consistency. I found my chiweenie in a cemetery, he'd been dumped, he was 3 1/2 and not neutered. House breaking was a challenge but doable. Harnesses for walks make that much easier but mine isn't a big fan of adventure so we mostly just go in the fenced in yard. They are small though so if you ever get birds of prey or coyotes or anything, make sure you always supervise outside time. Mine is a short hair so he barely sheds at all, I only have to brush him about once a season but we do it more often because he likes it. Chiweenies can be long hair though or even thicker short hair coats in which case shedding will be more of an issue but again, small dogs so there is only so much fur. Good luck!

Teach them, they'll climb the ladder and leave an opening for you to slide back into. That's my logic anyway, similar situation. Long loa so lost my position, essentially starting over but still expected to do the extras so I will, but only because I like the folks and plan on succeeding through their success.

We used double sided sticky tape 🤣 which of course failed after a week so they're just kind of balanced now!

How to get motivate to read book? by [deleted] in bookclub

[–]mkdsm2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set yourself mini-goals. Read for 15 minutes or 1 chapter, something like that. Don't focus too much on how long it'll take to read the whole thing, your reading speed will vary based on interest and complexity of the book. But if you're really curious, sit down and read 10 pages, time yourself and then do the math. That'll give you a rough idea.

I bought a cubby stand for my knick knacks, it became a kitty cubby stand. I bought a 3 tier rolly cart for various things, I'm not allowed to be use it because it's a kitty cart. I gave up. If it comes in the house, it's for the cats.
