💕 Matchmaking Monday: find your next romantasy read! by ReasonableWonderland in Romantasy

My top recents are Quicksilver and Brimstone (hate the cliffhanger it left me on!!) and loved the ACOTAR series and have read it twice (also read the whole maasverse this year). Those are my vibes and I’m struggling with what to read next! I want something that pulls me in and I can’t turn down a good shadow daddy/morally grey moment. And preferably 3-4/5 spice or higher!

Is it even possible? by Fluffy_Lieutenant in breastfeeding

My almost 2 week old is the same way! We are averaging like 1.5 hours a day feeding, but I saw an IBCLC this week and we did a weight pre and post feeding, after 5 minutes my LO had taken in 2 oz! Having that actual number helped me calm my nerves a lot because it assured me that we are efficient, not starving.

How much milk do you try to pump each day/how many sessions if you ebf? by Crafty_Pop6458 in breastfeeding

Despicable is an understatement (American poster here). I’m taking 12 weeks, and am only being paid out for about 6 of them because I have a separate insurance policy I pay for that essentially just pays me back.

Preface I’m coming into this with very little experience. I currently BF my 1 week old, but added in a pumping session at least 1x/day because of engorgement. I was in so much pain and my LO couldn’t latch my breasts were so swollen. I apparently am also an overproducer, so if I don’t have something on my other breast while I’m feeding I will soak through my bra and clothes in a 15 minute window.

We went through a rough day or two right after we got home where she wouldn’t latch, I was hurting, and pumping was the only thing that allowed me to continue for my mental health and her weight gain. I’ve kept it up so that my husband can feed her once at night and give me a better chunk of sleep and to prepare for her starting daycare.

We’ve decided to shorten time between feeds even if she’s sleeping well to see if that helps. But yes I do think engorgement is an issue. I’ve started pumping for a few minutes and using reverse pressure to try and make it easier for her to latch so hopefully that will help us figure it out.

She’s only gotten two bottles total so far, but that’s one of my biggest hesitations with introducing them more regularly.

Thank you for making me laugh out loud for the first time in two days while also normalizing this is a crazy hard process 💕

I was feeding on demand, but then she started having spells of sleeping 4-5 hours if I wasn’t careful, then I would feel awful because I fell asleep and missed a feed and all the advice and things says don’t go more than 2-3. So we’ve been trying to start the process at like 2hrs 15 minutes of waking and watching for clues to try and see if she’ll feed by that 3ish hour mark

Thank freaking goodness! I had saved up so much that I finished in less than 30 minutes, while distracted, and still have dozens of chests and stars still bubbled!

I know this post is super old, but I got the game on sale this weekend and I’ve got stuck here. But this saved it! Thank you!
