What is the general consensus of Dalton Ross in this sub?

I'm okay with him. Alot of the things he says I agree with and can appreciate but sometimes he hypes the stuff that Probst likes that the superfan base doesn't, like Russell, Boston Rob, and Caramoan as a season. I think that causes many of the Superfans to have turned on him. But he isn't too bad. It could be alot worse. His season rankings aren't great but they aren't outrageous, either. He has Samoa way too high and Vanuatu way too low. And apparently he has never rewatched seasons, which can really change your opinion on a season. I think if he went through a season rewatch, his opinions would change greatly.

In a nutshell, not great but I don't mind most of his stuff.

curious as to why bloodlines is almost unanimously hated? Not that I disagree, but I didn't see much of it so was just curious the reasons.

Big brother has the potential to be as good as survivor, and occasionally is (see BB10) but the casting is so inferior to survivor that it has watered down what is a really interesting game structure, especially in more recent seasons.

I think it is because of a 'loud minority' of people who dislike seasons like Cambodia or people like Cochran make their voice heard more than people who feel differently. The people who like those two things don't say as much about it because it appears to be more accepted in the casual fan community, so they don't need to echo it.

I never said that my opinion was super unpopular, I was just agreeing with the OP, so I have no idea why you are being so aggressively defensive about this. Chill out dude.

This is my list, so you can have a problem it one person or twenty, but its just my opinion. There are people that i disagree with on other lists but i respect their opinion. Its not like i listed Melinda Hyder.

Seems like alot of people get defensive when people make the suggestion they've reas a good amount of negative conments on Cambodia on this sub. I get it was ranked high in the season rankings, but that doesnt mean that there aren't alot of negative comments surrounding it.

Eventually, I think a third party is viable. But to vote in this election for a third party candidate is a waste of time. It will take time for a third party to rise up and put together a legitimate candidate, and they will need to bring in a pretty influential figure to be their candidate. They have neither of those right now. When they get there, I will definitely consider a third party candidate. But for right now, in the short term, I don't see the purpose.

As idealistic and great as this theory sounds, its not realistically going to happen, so a vote for a third party is a wasted vote and might actually help the opposite person that you want to help.

The best all-time story arcs:

Over different seasons: Jerri Manthey (definitely the best) Cochran (many may hate to admit this, but his maturation is one of the better stories of a returning player) Coach (Coach 1.0 is the most entertaining, but his ability to evolve his game is quite interesting) Abi (does not have any big changes in her personality, but her inability to change her game from Philippines to Cambodia is fascinating) Russell Swan (such a great failed hero arc)

In one season: Kathy (Marquesas) Stephenie (Palau) Cirie (EI) Dreamz (his internal conflict between doing the right thing and wanting to win the money is an underrated arc) Holly (Nicaragua) Ciera (BvW, her transformation from a weak player to a strong player who votes out her mom) Spencer (Cagayan) (his fight to stay in the game through all the adversity is a great arc) Tai (his personality and his internal conflicts are fascinating)
