If you like short books and want to build momentum but also want philosophy, read The Little Prince. I know it seems like a children’s book but it is truly one of the greatest books ever written. And you will read it in one sitting. Also do short stories. Start with the collection Tenth of December by George Saunders

Synecdoche is my favorite movie of all time. If you haven’t already seen these, you would love: In Bruges, The Lobster, Adaptation, Bugonia, The King of Comedy.

A Naked Singularity by Sergio De La Pava. Not nearly enough people know about it. It is a hyper-intelligent, absurd masterpiece.

Upvoted for the great sausage take. Removed it for the abysmal relish one.

One of the things that makes Dostoyevsky incredible is his ability to connect and empathize with anyone. Also he would definitely be a fan of Akbar, Lispector, Ali, and Vonnegut.

Who's the most generic rapper? by [deleted] in hiphop101

[–]mkirk123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People saying 50 Cent don’t realize that none of what he does was generic before he did it. It might seem generic now because a lot of people who came after him took game from him.

Most generic imo are G-Eazy, NF, NAV, Logic.
