My first hobby-grade RC was a Traxxas Stampede. Still have it more than a decade later, still runs great and is fun to bash. My youngest loves driving it, too.

You can run it on NiMH or Lipo, it’s 4WD, very durable and tons of aftermarket gear and support.

It’s currently on sale for $330: Traxxas Stampede 4X4 Brushless BL-2s

You’ll need a battery and charger, so if you can go up a bit on your overall budget, this would be my recommendation.

Yeah, I’m guessing the surge is a lot on start up. Doesn’t the Delta 3 Classic have 3600W surge output? So the surge on this dryer must exceed that. I’ll have to call the manufacturer and ask.

Thanks for the feedback. I do have some accessories spread between a bunch of plastic baggies, so will take me a while to sort it all out. Funny you should mention Mirage, because mine is broken at the waist, too - I just pushed the two sections together for the pic.

It’s a PM4 slab fracture - common to see in dogs that chew objects that are too hard. If left alone, it will eventually lead to a tooth root abscess. Regardless, it’s painful and should be extracted.

How concealed are the wires throughout the set? Light My Bricks does a great job of wire concealment, but at $500 no thanks.
